Anyone else play this? I thought it looked kinda dumb from the commercials, but My brother-in-law was playing it and it actually looked pretty sweet. Gory, Fun, Interesting Weapons, intense and I liked what I saw of the story.

Have any thoughts/comments/reviews on it?

I was about to pick it up yesterday at Target because it was buy one get another game 50% off.

It's a blast. It's been a long time since I've seen an arcade-style (When was the last time you saw any major game with a points system?) shooter like this. Over-the-top kills, occasionally funny dialogue, and replay value out the ass. My only complaint is that a lot of the people on the multiplayer are completely fucking brain-dead.

Between this and Duke Nukem Forever, it seems like the FPS genre finally has it's balls back.

I heard it's dumb, unless shooting guys in the crotch repeatedly in slow motion is fun for you.

They may advertise it as new, but it really does look like every other first person shooter at first glance. Plus, I can't get enough interest going in myself to go buy the damn thing.

I now have it. And so far, I think it's pretty wicked.

-Story/Characters are funny and interesting.
-I like the weapons.
-Skillshots drive me to find creative ways to kill my enemies in new and unique ways.
-Graphics are beautiful.
-The leash is fucking sweet.

thats the main selling point for me, if i ever do get it, the skill shots. it seems the whole game was built around trying to get as many elaborate kill shots you can cram in there.

There is a gun that shoots drills. I overcharged this gun so the drill on it was red hot. I slid on the ground through a group of enemies, killing them. I got points for doing a kill called "Drilldo."

Game of the year.

I do like it it a lot. It certainly pales in comparison to Painkiller (People Can Fly's first game, and one of the top 5 FPS's in my opinion), but that's the fanboy in me talking. The game is fun, the combat is awesome, and it always tries to outdo itself.

If I have one complaint, it's Ishi. He's a terrible, boring character with a godawful voice actor (especially when compared to Steve Blum, Jennifer Hale, and the guy who does Serrano). Every time he opens his mouth, I hate the game a little more.

Beat the game Yesterday, and I have to say it was very Enjoyable.

A couple of plot twists, and they left it wide open for a Bulletstorm 2. Which I would Certainly pick up.

Likes:
-Story
-Beautiful Landscape and Graphics
-Weapons/Skillshots

Dislikes:
-Teammate A.I. can be fucking retarded sometimes. They won't help fight, and I had them pin me in one time where I had to restart from the last check-point because I was stuck.
-Enemy A.I. pretty much doesn't acknowledge the fact you have teammates, and they hone in directly on you. They will SPRINT past your teammates to come fuck you up.

I really quite liked it when I got it as a rental, the violence is over the top and kinda different from anything Ive played before. It plays on its over the top nature and mostly, it works. Even the crap action hero dialogue seems more designed to make you laugh than anything else. I found it a lot of fun.
