This is the reason we have been attacked by them. Without any real reason, we go into their country and put our stamp on things. Bin Laden would just use this as another example of American Imperialism.

Just in case no-one reads the news, the Libyan govt. has just announced a cease-fire following the UN resolution to create a no-fly zone and intervene militarily. What this means, of course, is that Libya will continue to be free to repress protestors/rebels with their more advanced weaponry while ensuring that any country that intervenes will be branded a provocateur or aggressor and roundly denounced by Mid-East leadership. My heart goes out to the people of the country, but apparently change means more of the same, just more clandestine. What a world.


Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

Yeah, I still don't understand. the cease-fire means they won't shoot who exactly?

Loyalists. There's still reports of shelling going on hours after the 'cease-fire' was supposed to take effect. Foreign (North African and Arab) soldiers from various countries are also being sent to Bahrain to help put down protests there, and in FNJ's very important NY update, I also made mention of the problems in Yemen. Change you can believe in, right?
