Wow, they still make that show? I'm so glad I got rid of cable.

Mmhmm, they tend to keep shows around that are fairly cheap to produce and get 12+ million viewers a week even after 20 seasons.

aeonic, I thought you lived in the United States. You need cable to watch Survivor?

Go shit somewhere else.

Actually, you do have to pay for cable, at least via Cox in the Southwest. They offered me a 'deal' for 30 dollars a month for network channels. Not even basic cable, no no. ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, WGN and PBS. Guess what I told them to do?

And for the record, I wasn't initially trying to besmirch anyone's beloved Survivor. I was, and am, still generally surprised that it's still on the air and garnering that many viewers.

And now, since it was unintentional last time: I guess there's no accounting for taste.

Wrong. It's called a digital converter box. You don't have to pay for basic channels. They were handing them out for free for a couple of years, too. Not sure if they do that anymore since the switch happened nearly two years ago.

They don't, and really I could give a toss, I'm glad those channels are all gone. But I'll let you all get back to your Survivor stuff.

That's fine if you don't want the stations, but don't say they're not available to you.

We get it. You're above all of us.

No, it's not available to me unless I'm willing to pay for it. I'm not. And really, although I shouldn't think I need to explain it, I'm not above you guys, nor do I suffer from such a delusion. My primary hobby is painting 28mm sci-fi figurines, playing RPGs and spending time with my young, nubile wife while trying to break even fiscally, something I occasionally manage. I don't like Survivor, but that's cool, because you guys do, and to each his own. More power to you if that's your kind of thing. We're all allowed our own opinions, no?

This is turning out to be a damn good season of Survivor. I'm on Team Matt, or Team Philip.
