So, my gf and I just got a new computer and each have our own user acounts (to keep bookmarks, passwords, etc. separate). My question is, how can I make it so that we can each open I Tunes and have the same music library? Google has not helped thus far, plus, for all things computer, SydLexia.com Forums are my Google. Thanks!

Edit: Durr, I can't read. You can transfer music by going into each other's user accounts on the computer and just finding the Itunes music and add it to you computer account. You either both need to be admins to do this or one of you has to be the admin and do all the work. Really, that's all there is to it (provided I read it right this time).

Hmmmm. I presume you can both access the same files? When you hold shift then double click on itunes it lets you choose which library you want.

I'd imagine that if you both have one library you both could both select it on each of your accounts.

I'm not sure if this will work as i've never had the problem but you could give it a shot.

The only other thing i could see you doing would be having two copies of the same music (if you can't both access the same files) on each profile which is kinda pointless having two of the same file.

Also maybe you could create two library files which have the same tracks in it but are specific to each account.

I just thought of something. I'm not sure what type of computer the have, but couldn't they just save their music to the public folder and have ITunes access it from there? I don't know if Apples have this but it's worth a shot.

The public folder method worked. Thanks BlazingGlory! Also, thanks GP, but, in fairness, BlazingGlory was first to respond so he gets the lion share of the praise.

This thread is over, go in peace to love and serve pop culture.
