You know what I like about ballet? The dancers seem very considerate; they tip-toe so they don't wake-up the audience.

Ballet can be very impressive, particularly the non-Nutcracker Russian kind. Very masculine, if that worries you.
Now, a movie about some ballerina mutilating herself? With Natalie Hershlag as the star? I think I'll pass. What a great message to send to our impressionable teenage girls , though!

I took my fiance to see this because she has been wanting to see for quite sometime. I was kind of indifferent about it, but I expected it to be strange because I know how Darren Aronofsky can be. The film is great though. A strong performance by Portman, and a great direction. Definitely one of the better put together movies that I have seen in quite sometime.
You know a movie is good, when you are still thinking about it 24 hours later.
