*gasp* That's it! I wasn't aware of the original handheld one, but I did find out that the same carts were used in the head mounted variation. It may also explain why my right eye is fucked up.

Alright!

I have ordered my GP2X Value pack, the AC Adapter, and a 2GB SD Card, which should arrive sometime middle-of next week. So I will be sure to give it the full review treatment for all of you interested!

Get a DS. They have a lot of games that may seem "strange" to some gamers (Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center, Hotel Dusk, etc.), but those games are where the system truly shines. It also has classic Nintendo franchise games (Yoshi's Island DS, Mario Kart DS, Kirby Canvas Curse), and those are also great games.

As far as the Classic Nintendo Franchises go, I will be able to play EVERY NES/SNES/GB/GBA game ever made, so I think I got that covered. I may not be able to play the new stylized DS games, but I think that is a fair trade for being able to play Samurai Shodown I-V, Street Fighter Alpha series, and SvC Chaos. Not too mention about 20,000 other games.

But you can already play emulations on your computer/laptop. The only difference is that the GP2X is portable, but if you had a laptop you would be able to play those emulations plus do a lot of other things, and take them with you. Anyway, you already decided, so the point is moot, anyway.

There's a big difference in portablility between a Laptop Computer and something that fits in your coat pocket. Wink

Also, add Sam & Max and Full Throttle to the list, as there is a SCUMMVM port for GP2X also!

Well, the GP2X has arrived. Now I got to wait for the SD card, I ordered to show up, so I can start playing with the emulators.

I can tell you that it is decent sized, has a really weird control stick, and is alot lighter than it looks. Also, the LCD screen is good size, good brightness, and very crisp and clear to look at.

And, it included a EUR -> US adapter with the AC Adapter, because they only come with the widely spaced giant prongs used in Europe and other places running 220v current.
