Well shit...It plays so much like classic Contra so well that I just figured it was a sequel. This is why Konami is losing. Instead of whatever they're making, they should just make DS Castlevanias, new Contras, and new Metal Gears. And Mystical Ninja too. Bring him back to America!

Well, it's the "spiritual successor" to contra: hard corps, whatever the fuk that means. It's made by Sega/Sammy I think. I don't know why they didn't use the Contra name. Maybe this has nothing to do with Konami?

Contra Hard Corps was an attempt to take Contra 3D, iirc. Hard Corps plays like classic ass-kicking Contra.

No. It was the one on the Genesis with the multiple characters like the werewolf with sunglasses and the gay robot. You're thinking of the one on the PS2 probably, where you could spin to deflect bullets for some reason.
Anyone ever play Assault:Retribution on the PSX?
