I want to throw a brick at them, but I can't.

I can understand debating, obviously, but I also often see people just primitively throwing generic insults at one another. It's just very lacking and very childish to me. I mean... if the insult is going to not have any justification, at least make it creative. Whether it's an actual argument or two buddies who sign on to bear false arguement to get reaction from others (for their own amusement and not social experimentation), it's wasteful and immature. I'm thankful that the chat I'm usually in has an ignore button... and most should have those anyway in some fashion or another.

Best insult I heard yesterday was: "You're someone who rips on people for saying "band-aids" because it's a brand name!" I thought that was both funny and true. Who doesn't hate people who are always like: "Don't say kleenex! Don't say ketchup!" Man, I really hate those people... Almost more than kids who fight on the internet.

When I reflect on such things as brand-naming, I become amazed at how some brand have become house-hold terms... and are basically more synonymously known than the "correct" terms. That's potent business right there.

Aw hell, I made this after I logged out of FFXI. I don't play much, about 10 hours a week, I used to play about 10 hours a day, but those 19 months are past. Don't play MMOs, kids. I digress, people in that game can get pretty tense over an item, it's ugly, and I just run away.
Anyway, brand names, I'm fine with it, until someone calls something so vague as a "Sony", then it's time to thwack 'em in the head with a newspaper.

heh.
I've met some pretty homosexual kids on the internet whos entire life is devoted to going on forums and starting shit.
As a social experement awhile ago,I wen't on the now defunkt LSC and started promoting the "emo" culture (even though its a ridiculous fad meant to play off kids who think they have a bad life because their parents make them wash dishes) and started acting like the average myspace addict 'emo' kid.
the results?
Halarious.
about 20 guys just poped at the first chance to start throwing the most ridiculous insults i've ever heard.
"LOL U R GAY YOO PROIBALY LIKE SIMPLE PLAN HAHAHAHAAH"
"WHY DONT YOU CUT ASYOUSEFL!?" (<-?)
"YOU EMO FUCK HAH GO AWAY EMO EMO."
these are all real examples of some of the things said.
Halarity.

I don't dislike emo kids, they're just easy targets to pick on, and I'm mean.

I like emo kids. When in social situations around them, I either bring them out of their falsely gloomy bullshit facade with my humor jokes, or I make them extremely uncomfortable because they're insecure and take themselves way too seriously. Either way I have fun.

I started my first programming class not too long ago. I was relieved that I wasn't the only girl in there...
Then I discovered the other girl was actually just an emo boy. I swear, I thought he was a girl for the whole first week of class.
But, getting back to what the thread was actualy started about...
"Fighting over the internet is like competing in the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard."
Not mine, not mine. Whose? I don't know.
