Anyways similar to my RPG question ive actually been watching alot of reruns of Cowboy Bebop and Big O and so far im digging it. Are their anymore good anime television shows or movies that i should watch to get into the Genre?

Berserk is fantastic, it's short at about 24 episodes, and has a good dub.
And it gets really freaky at the end.

Hellsing is also good and is only 11 episodes.

I would start with those since you can finish them in a few days (or, obviously, 1 day if you really want to go at it).

Then I would recommend Bleach. There are currently over 300 episodes so you're obviously not going to be able to catch up all in one shot. You can skip the filler episodes - a list of them can be found here: http://forums.narutofan.com/showthread.php?t=488149.
If you want you can watch the Bount filler arc, it's not terrible. The rest of the filler should be skipped because it's pretty bad.
Make sure you watch a subbed version because the dub is horrible.

The first series of bleach ends at episode 63, so you can watch up to that point for a somewhat complete story arc, then switch to something else for a while and come back to it later.

* Gun X Sword
* Rurouni Kenshin
* Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. There's also Fullmetal Alchemist, but because the manga was still being written while Studio BONES was animating FMA, the author gave consent to keep going on their own pace. As it stands, Brotherhood is closer to the original source material, but FMA is a good series too. If you care about accuracy, watch Brotherhood first. When it finishes, then you can enjoy FMA and how different it became halfway through.
* Code Geass: Lelouch of the Revolution
* Trigun
* Outlaw Star
* Eureka 7
* Fist of the North Star

On the note of filler arcs in Bleach, for the record I actually ENJOYED the Zanpakuto Spirits arc (where all the weapon spirits are freed by Muramasa), mostly because you got to see the personalities and core of the various Zanpakuto.

Bomberman should be posting at some point for some other stuff you might like.

There is tons of great anime out there and when taking advice on it, definitely listen to Sathien, Bomberman and FNJ.

Besides Cowboy Bebop, I always recommend Initial D which is just a ridiculously fun and well crafted anime and has what I consider the best soundtrack, narrowly edging Cowboy Bebop in that department (which is saying something). After watching Initial D, you will suddenly be interested in cars and be into illegal street racing.

As for movies, you can't go wrong with anything made by Hayao Miyazaki. Kiki's Delivery Service and Porco Rosso are my personal favorites.

Syd, you should make a Sydlexia "Starter" kit and just sell it on the website.

As for Anime that isn't too weird I would go with Samurai 7 or Death Note.

I honestly don't have much experience with anime, but Cowboy Bebop was just really fun to watch.

I would basically agree with everything here. Definitely FMA and Brotherhood ( I have no ideas of subbed vs dubbed on this one, but I thought the Dub was good enough) and Cowboy Bebop. If you haven't already finished it, the only thing I disliked about Big O is the end (those who have seen the show should know what I'm talking about). But yeah, otherwise, most* of these shows are really good.

*I wasn't a big fan of FLCL. A little to trippy for my tastes, although it did gain bonus points for a Crystal Pepsi reference.

Damn thats a ton of shows to check out, but thanks for the input this is definatly gonna take me a while and should probably keep me occupied. Oh and another question, theirs this anime movie i remember being really cool, im preety sure the same guy that made Spirted Away but im not too sure. Its this chick shes like a princess or something and rides a big wolf, and she fights these like army guys with musket rifles or something, and the army guys are fighting the nature because the nature is actually alive. Not the best description but if one of you guys knows what im talking about and could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Fullmetal Alchemist--I'd suggest starting with the original over Brotherhood--is one of my favorite *TV shows* of all time, and absolutely my favorite anime ever.

Bleach is also wonderful. You could start from 1 I guess, but frankly, I jumped right into the series via Adult Swim with no idea what I was watching. You could easily enjoy it by perusing the wiki article to get an idea of who's who and what's what, and go from there. (I don't suggest that approach with FMA...it's a little more plot heavy and intricate.)

I vote dubbed on both those series, btw. The voice acting is excellent, particularly in FMA.

And in spite of everyone's reaction the last time I mentioned it, I will go to my grave enjoying Inuyasha. It's FUN DAMMIT!!!

Oh...and if you haven't seen the movie "Princess Mononoke," do so. Awesome.

Hare + Guu is a funny comedy anime, if you don't mind the insane. FLCL is another one of these types of series.

Mushishi is one of the most beautiful series I have ever had the joy of seeing. It is a little slow, and you will get pretty much no answers for anything that happens, but it is really good.

Though in all honesty, I would pick shows that are a little simplier than whatever I list, as there is a lot of weird shit out there that overwhelms a lot of new viewers, so it is better to ease yourself in.

And lastly, fuck the Hellsing anime. Only good thing about it is the music. Read the Manga or watch the OVAs instead. /bias.

A few last plugs here:

* Baccano! (! symbol is part of the title) it's an anime about 1930's gangsters in New York. It's only 14 episodes and I strongly recommend it dubbed for justice to the accent. Also, just about any character in this series could kick ass.

* Grave of the Fireflies. A movie dealing with a young Japanese man and his kid sister after the bombings of Japan. It's not a happy story but it is a good one.

* Since Bleach is being mentioned about, I'll go ahead and give a nod to Soul Eater (both Fullmetal Alchemist and itself were published manga under Square-Enix). Very male-oriented and pretty interesting at times (like the dual-pistol wielding Death the Kid who fires his pistols with his pinky fingers).

Lastly, there are a few dubbed voices in Bleach that I can't stand. Orihime, Rangiku, and the creepy squad captain (name escapes me, vice-captain is Nemu). are the only ones that come to mind.

Same. No matter how much fun people make of Dragonball Z, it'll always hold a special place in my heart. It's a fun series to put on, forget the world, and geek out to every once in a while.

What do people think of One Piece?

DBZ Kai is where you should be putting attention to, same great taste, MUCH less filling (the whole thing is only 100 episodes instead of around 300).

ah, i liked sailor moon when i was a kid.

but yeah, check out Dragonball its "the Anime" for the simple reason that its really really entertaining. Then again, i don't think you really need an recommendation. just pick any random anime, because they share all the quality of being weird and unexpected. The last one i watched was "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" wich has formidable drawings. Neon Genesis Evangelion is also good to get into because it is a huge franchise, theres a lot to see there. One of the few Anime's i would recommend is "Plastic Little". It's a movie by Satoshi Urushihara wich has an incredible drawing style and some ecchi scenes (=scenes where you see tits) that are uncomperable hot. Plus it got a cheesy story and a lot of explosions. And the worst Voiceacting in the history of anime if you watch it in english.

it was the best of times
it was the blurst of times

Mobile Suit Gundam. The original, the classic. 43 episodes or 3 1 1/2-to-2 hour movies, both good ways to get into it. choose your poison. There are sequels that are also great and spinoffs of varying quality to get into but don't concern yourself too much about them for now.

Macross is another great of the 80s. You can watch it on Hulu, then the movie Do You Remember Love?. There are also sequels which you don't have to worry much about for now (except Macross Plus, you can watch that anytime)

Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still is a 7 episode OVA epic. Shame it was never "finished", but if you're a fan of The Big O you'll like it.

Azumanga Daioh, a good surreal show.

Bubblegum Crisis: it's 80s to the fucking core. And you'll love it.

Excel Saga is pretty hilarious.

The Slayers: Excellent series made even more excellent if you're familiar with RPGs and their cliches/tropes.

Agreed on Gurren Lagann being an excellent show, but after you watch it, know the roots and watch Getter Robo Armageddon and GaoGaiGar, 2 modern super robot shows (or in the case of the former, a modern version of a classic show) that kind of led the way. In that vein I also recommend Shin Mazinger, Mazinkaiser, and Gainax's own Gunbuster.

s-CRY-ed is great if you want pure entertainment without having to turn your brain on much. People beating the living shit out of each other with special powers, over the top action, heated rivalries, tons of blood, etc.

Last Exile is fantastic with high production values, great music, takes place in an interesting world. Only problem is that it moves a little slow.

Lupin the 3rd, because nobody can not like Lupin the 3rd! First or second series is a good place to start. Need a movie? Watch The Castle of Cagliostro, directed by Miyazaki, and The Mystery of Mamo.

Most of Studio Ghibli's movies, of course.

Samurai Champloo.

Serial Experiments Lain if you want a good mindfuck.

All of Satoshi Kon's (RIP) movies such as Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika. He always made stuff aimed at a more adult audience.

Can't go wrong with the movie Sword of the Stranger.

Golgo 13.

Really though, Find what genre you like, and we can point you to more shows in the general direction you want to go.

It's also editted to shit. The reason it's 100 episodes is because they literally can't show 2/3rds of every show. I mean sweet Jesus, Vegeta is eating an animal and they replaced it with some vegetable or something, and they completely skipped the whole Vegeta and Nappa going to a planet, killing it's inhabitants and destroying it for the fun of it.
