They used to have MAC written on them which stood for Money Access Center. Not sure when it offically became ATM or Automatic Teller Machine, but I find I use both in no real discernable pattern or reason.

Ah, Appalachia. I'm planning on doing the trail at some point, and I've got a lot of family up there who are good, hard farming folk. As for the MAC thing, I just remember getting a lot of queer looks when I called it that after I moved to Florida.
