Decent remake of a Charles Bronson classic. Jason Statham did a nice job Stathaming things up, and the guy who was his apprentice/whatevs (the one that played Angel from X-3) was also pretty good. Main problem was the film was too dark; not too adult or anything, although I was disturbed by the number of people who brought children to the murder-fest, but the film itself was literally too dark and it started making me sleepy. Overall, I'd give it a solid B and say it's worth a matinee.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

I thought it sucked ass. Threw in every hit-man-movie cliche in the book, along with every Jason Statham cliche as well. I just about fell asleep. Hell, I think I could have predicted every detail of the plot in my sleep too.

Wish I'd seen Season of the Witch instead.

Update: I saw Season Of The Witch. It was pretty goddamn cool. Not oscar-worthy, and Nick Cage is a fucking horrible actor, but it's set in the middle ages with knights and demons and witches and shit! What more could you ask for?

I highly recommend Season Of The Witch, and shit all over The Mechanic.

I haven't followed anything about this movie and my first thought upon seeing the title was this guy:

"Life is a waste of time. Time is a waste of life. Get wasted all the time, and you'll have the time of your life!"
