Lucky bastard.

You know, truth be told, after the intital incident, I started to focus on other things, so I have to wonder if I did lose it at an earlier age, I might've done better in school, rather than look at internet porn with dial up.

Looking back, I didn't become fiscally independent until I was 22 years old, and at that point I was independent but very poor. It wasn't until I was 27 that I made enough money to support myself and another human without financial assistance coming from somewhere else.

While in some cultures it may still work out to have a kid while very young, in most American families, the burdon would fall onto those who have had established careers even if they aren't the ones who have the kids.

Out of curiosity, how many of you guys would be financially equipped to have a child without the assistance of family, friends, or the government? I am guessing that most under the age of 25 would not be prepared for it, yet I would also guess that the majority of guys have been thinking about sex nonstop since they were 11-13.

Oh naturally, but at 11-13 you aren't worried about having kids. Yes, it could happen, but that's the price you pay.

Considering I've never had sex without a condom, even with my wife who's on an IUD, that's never been a concern of mine. Besides, never once heard of a woman who got pregnant through her stomach or boobs.

My question is why are we talking about having babies?

Because teenagers, all of whom aren't emotionally ready for sexual intercourse, cause teenage pregnancies. It's a fact.

This is exactly why upon retrospect I think I should have waited, and am glad I didn't knock anyone up.

bumping this, cuz of this story:
Quote:
Two staff members at a south London school may lose their jobs after a homemade sex tape involving the pair was allegedly found on a school computer.

A teacher and a classroom assistant have been suspended from Addington High School in Croydon after a colleague found a film, showing a man sitting on a chair while a woman performs a sex act on him, on a school computer.

The school are investigating whether it was teacher Tim Edwards, 46, and classroom assistant Angela Thornhill, 50 in the X-rated video, the Daily Mail reports.

They are also trying to find out if the movie was filmed on school grounds and whether any of the 800 students may have been able to access it.

No one at the school was willing to comment on the matter.

now these teachers are stupid. one is 46 & the other is 50?! they should have definitely known better

When we got pregnant with my son, I was 23 with no job and both of us living with my parents. Was I financially equipped? No way in hell. But you'd better believe I got equipped pretty damn fast.

My son's now about ten months old, I've had a steady job for over a year, and we're closing on our first house after renting for a year. Are we rich? Fuck no! But we're not dead broke either. Could we have waited until we were older and more stable? Yes, but I don't regret it one bit.

My own parents, baby boomers, didn't have me until my mom was 36. They followed the advice of their time, to wait until you are financially secure(the yuppie way.) My dad's now sixty fucking years old and just now got his first grandson. I don't want to go out like that. I'd like to still be able to do things when my children are grown. And you know what? When I told my parents we were pregnant, they told me themselves that they wish they hadn't waited so long to have children.

Can you wait until you're financially ready? You'll NEVER be financially ready! Kids are fucking expensive! LIFE is fucking expensive! That shouldn't be an excuse to avoid living it.

but thats also no reason to go balls-to-the-wall and have 3 kids at the age of 20. you still have to practice some sort of sensible responsibility

True, but there are ways to weed out those types. Preaching responsibility won't make any headway with them anyway.

I personally very much believe in eugenics. However, I could never trust any type of government to practice such in the benevolent manner that I envision it. So, I can never support it, even though I believe in it.

If the government had their way and got eugenics laws passed, they would breed out people like me.
