I caught the midnight show last night. I was very pleased with it. A good mixture of the old cartoon show and the other movies. Kinda serious and talky, but lots of fun. There are two awesome, awesome fights in it. One Evil Dead-ish. The other... All I'll say is:
Blue
vs.
Red
Alas, nothing after the credits. Don't stay.

Raph and Leo fighting??? Sweetness. I hope Raph won (if they didn't have them tie). I always prefer the wisecracking characters.
Might have to see this out of nostalgia, just like for the upcoming Transformers film.

I hope TMNT is a decent movie. I wanted to see it tonight, but I couldn't convince my girlfriend to see it. She would rather see 300 again. I'll have to see it another day.

The explanation is headbands. That should be enough. And the fight WAS awesome, with an enjoyable ending to it.
For those that saw it, did anyone else notice the time scepter from Turtles 3 on the trophy shelf with Shredder's helmet and the other items?

God damn it! I need to see this movie! Having not seen it yet is like having hemorrhoids all over my body. It sounds gross, but that's the level of my burning desire to see this movie. It burns like... like... hemorrhoids.

You can she the time scepter from the 3rd movie on the trophy case near the end of the movie with Shredder's helmet (among the others). It's two shelves below the Shredder's helmet.

Splinter has both ears further proving the cartoon show/movie combination theory.
Super Shredder's mask is not on the shelf, because he's still wearing it.
For once, Raph does NOT get kidnapped!!! ^_^

I wanted to beat the snot out of this one stoner who kept yelling that Splinter looked like a fox instead of a rat.

I doubt anyone cares about film scores as much as me, but I found out that on the TMNT official website they have an extended version of "I Love Being a Turtle" which isn't on the CD. This track contains one of the best cues in the whole film (Winters Ascension), which I was pissed wasn't on the soundtrack.
The internet track is 5:34 instead of the measly 3:06.
