A Reddit thread pointed out that this article was very detailed... I was surprised that it was incredibly long for something so trivial. Still, I figured what could make a trivial topic more interesting than making a poll out of it!
I'm gonna go ahead and predict 75% of the guys here don't give a shit at all. You should probably add a neutral option to the poll, because I guarantee it will have more votes than any of the others.
I really don't either. As long as there isn't shit everywhere and the bathroom smells good then it's a good day.

Whichever way it happens to fall after I put it on the roll. I don't pay attention.
In these tough economic times, I can't splurge on toilet paper so I just scoot on the carpet.

I don't really give a fuck about that, but I typically find the rolls in my house (there's two toilets)
are in the over orientation. I usually just put them like that.

Beach Bum is correct. But, you gotta go over in case you accidentally pull off more than you need so you can roll it back in.
Another relevant question I guess: Are you a wadder or a folder?

I don't give a shit. However, my wife once had a dream about aliens that made fun of her for hanging it under, and having it touch the wall. Therefore, over.

I've kinda been taught to believe that over is the "correct" way. Plus, I think it's a little easier to reach and kinda looks like it would be "right". Not that I think it really matters anyway.
But screw toilet paper, bidet is the most sanitary way to go.

Over. It drives me FUCKING MAD when someone else in the house puts the roll on under.
It's perhaps my one OCD trait. I'll raise bloody murder over it.

Yeah, it has to be over; it's just the way the toilet roll was designed. When it's under, you have to reach under to grab the end of it and it's more difficult to find the end if it gets rolled up completely.
I didn't have a care either way until I was about 20 and was enlightened by a new girlfriend that over is clearly the superior orientation and it must never be hung incorrectly. One of the rare times I've been so easily changed by a woman.

This actually matters when changing the toilet paper in public stalls. (The paper should be facing the edge of the dispenser.) Otherwise, no.
I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.
