I upgraded to the G2 from the G1 just yesterday. If you've owned a G1, you know how much of a pain it is to get anything done on it, especially after watching newer Android phones make it look like a joke. So in the year I've had my G1, I've made the claim that there are no games on the Android platform. But now that I got a G2, flashed a Gingerbread-based ROM on it and can boot it in less than 30 seconds, I'm beginning to reconsider. Are there any games on Android that are worth the cost and aren't ports of iOS games?
I'm not interested in emulators or rips of Puzzle Bobble, by the way.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can. |

Zenonia and Zenonia 2. There's also Caligo Chaser, pretty decent games if you like action RPG's.

Just got an Android last weekend, actually (Droid X, epic). Haven't had much time to check out the REAL games, but for pure time wasters, air hockey, oh my god. I'm so frigging addicted to it.
I would say Pac-Man: Tournament Edition because the game itself is amazing. Trying to control it on a touch screen is terrible though; if you use a key pad, it may well be worth the investment though.

Regular Pac-Man is free, too. So, y'know.

If you take emulation into consideration then you have thousands of games. And, I don't know about you, but I'd rather play Chrono Trigger or Sonic 2 over Angry Birds any day.

Android platforms have a great Scrabble game called Droidwords. I like it so much, I'm considering buying the ad-free version.

Oh, if you have a fast Android phone, there's also this:
