Wow, I think the police reaction was definitely a bit over-the-top. But, this dude really was just looking for trouble, everyone knows you have to take off your hate in situations like that.

What kind of d-bag wears a hat indoors anyhow? That's just tacky. Defeats the whole purpose of wearing a hat unless you're doing it to look cool; if you're doing it to look cool, you're a d-bag anyhow.

While I definitely agree that the guy is an idiot for not complying, I feel the police acted too quickly and too brash.

I want to kick both the hat-wearer, and the cameraman in the junk repeatedly so as to ensure they never procreate.

They asked him to take off his hat, he refused. They asked him to leave, he refused. The reaction was neither hasty, nor brash. They sat him down in a private and talked to him for a while, which apparently is brutality, then when he wouldn't stand up and go on his own accord, they dragged him off. He even lifts his legs off the floor to make it more difficult. Boo Hoo. Have fun in jail.

Not quite court related, but it is hat related.

Honestly, more people should do what that guy did. It's not like he was violent or anything. Why the hell is it "respectful" to the see the top of people's heads? Shit like this are small ways the government keeps people in line so they won't question them.

I wear my hat all the time, but I'd take it off if asked to. Right now I'm kinda wearing it because my hair hasn't been cut in 5 months and looks terrible, but usually I just wear it because I like my Bucs hat. No reason to refuse to take off your hat unless you are just trying to be a douchebag to the person asking.

It's pretty convenient how the video starts at the part that it does. For all we know, this guy was doing things to fuck with them before that part that made them react the way that they did. It's really easy to repeatedly fuck with someone, then turn a camera on and say "dude, what are you doing? I didn't do anything!" when they retaliate.

You're probably right.

I just don't know about arresting the guy...kicking him out of the court might have been a better option.

Also, if they are so content on a hatless court, they should be forced to remove it before they can even come in, much like you aren't coming into my house unless you take your shoes off.

You would think someone would have said something to him when he first walked in, and if he didn't comply, then promptly escort him out of the court room. Not arrest him. I know when I've been to court, there is a guard standing right at the door, and if you're dressed like garbage, they won't even let you inside.

But, at the end of the day, like Bunny said, If a Judge tells you to do something in his court, you better do it, or you're going to get fucked.

Douchery all around on all parties involved.

for all we know, he could have been asked to leave, and refused. People like this just want to do whatever they can to give authorities a hard time, so that when they're slammed for being a dick they can complain about how unfair the system is and all that stuff.

also, for all we know, he could have put the hat on purposely once he got into the court.
