Oh, I forgot one other thing: the voice acting. Jessica Martin is SO BAD as Samus -- so utterly, Valium-hooveringly dull and lifeless -- that it very nearly put me off the damn game from first word out of her mouth.
I have to agree... the whole Samus talking is a change, but when it's so unemotional and detached, I put it on mute and read the subtitles while having a better VA talking in my head.

Heavy Rain wasn't THAT bad. I haven't played this game since slashing my puppies throat and serving my community service for animal cruelty.

i still havent played this game even though i bought it like 1-2 months ago.
is it me, or is it just a chore to start a new game? any game in general. once i start the game, i get the ball rolling, but just that initial start up phase always slows me down.

I have the exact opposite problem. I start way to many games and never finish them. I have been really good as of late though. I have started 8 new games and finished them before starting a new one since before christmas.

The plot isn't great, but I enjoy playing it. Now I know how all those fans of post-VII Final Fantasy games feel.
Immersion is such an overused word. I don't feel immersed when I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy... I feel like I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy. And I will get that fucking star, dammit!
I love feeling immersed in the game I am playing.
That feeling where once you turn off your console, it feels like you are teleported back to your room from wherever you just were in the game.
i've only played the demo, but i thought it had potential

It's basically an interactive movie, where you have to make decisions that determine the outcome of the game. You control 4 different people and if one dies during the game the ending changes as well as the sequence of events. I thought it was decent, but I'm also glad I didn't pay full price for it.

The fact that there are all sorts of factors that change the ending of the game, sometimes only slightly, was cool. The fact that the game script reads like a rejected episode of CSI: Miami was not.
Probably the only person who likes this game on the internet.
There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.

The game has its flaws to be sure, but it's nowhere near as bad as the steaming pile of crap known as Super Metroid.
Shake it, Quake it, Space Kaboom.

I like Other M. The plot isn't great, but it's a fun game. I mean, is the plot any good in any Capcom games? No, but they're fun.
But they should have gotten better voice actors for localization. I mean, Gillian Anderson has nothing go on right now. Hire her. She's perfect for Samus.
