No doubt in America we have crazies, but even we can't top our southern neighbor.

Quote:
After members of the band La Excelencia in Guadalajara, Mexico refused to play more songs after closing time, irate members of the audience killed two members of the band and detonated a grenade inside the bar, Vida Divina, according to Mexican newspaper El Occidental.

A 26-year-old woman attending the concert was also shot and injured.

According to El Occidental, four drunk men aggressively demanded the band play more after their set ended - and they did - for a while. After they stopped around 4 a.m. local time Monday morning, one of the men threw a grenade at the stage, and people ran out of the bar. As they did, two of the band members were shot.

The victims were identified as Jonathan Jimenez, 22, the leader of the band, and Gustavo Alejandro, 35. Others were also injured in the explosion.

The shooters fled, and investigators said there is little information to go on because no one saw the vehicle that they used to leave.

Gun violence has risen in Mexico in recent years. According to the Associated Press, drug cartel turf battles around the country have left more than 30,000 people dead since December 2006.

That band must have been just mind-blowingly awesome.

Rocky Point is okay, but yeah, I try to stay the hell away from Mexico. It's hard to do, considering it's just a few hours south of here.

The place obviously has some serious problems. All developing countries do. Still, I spent a kick-ass month there with friends once. There's an insane amount of stuff to see in México. Very friendly people there, for the most part. Great beer.

The scaries but also the most memorable part: when I was walking through a guest house -lobby (it was about 2 am), I was stopped by couple of local police officers. They asked if I was carrying drugs. I wasn't and I replied no. Then, they absolutely wanted to search my pockets. Twice, actually. I fell for the oldest trick, and the police had now "found" a small bag of weed. Managed to get out the situation by paying them everything I was carrying, about 100$.

edit: another crazy event was, when I saw somebody carrying a western style revolver on his belt in a pub. Laughing

I would imagine that the navy has somewhat limited use for hand explosives compared to the other branches.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

I would Concur. But we still have an Armory which does have Grenades in it.
