Stallone wants EVERYONE this time. His wishlist of actors includes: Jean-Claude Van Damme, Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Carl Weathers, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Charlie Sheen, Chuck Norris, Lorenzo Lamas, Jeff Speakman, and Olivier Gruner.
No mention of Jackie Chan or Sammo Hung. He does want to bring back Arnold, Willis, and Stone Cold Steve Austin though. He should go for Eastwood.
Too bad he rather have Van Damme than Seagal. Seagal's more entertaining.

Awesome. If he were to choose between Van Damme and Seagal, I'd probably go with Van Damme too, since the only Seagal movie I've ever liked was Machete, he should do more villianous roles. I would love to see Hogan and Mr. T as a duo in the movie.
Or better yet...Hogan vs. Austin? Yes please~

Speaking of Machete, Danny Trejo would be awesome too.

Interestingly, while I enjoyed the movie, he was one of the weaker points of it. Maybe it was because it didn't feel like he had much of a character, but if he was anything like he was as Johnny 23 in Con Air, I would approve.
Why not Harrison Ford? I know he would very much never do it, but at least attempt it. Maybe just a cameo as a professor or something.

How about Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, and Timothy Dalton? Dalton would definitely do it. He did Hot Fuzz.
Van Damme had THREE good action movies in his prime: Blood Sport, Timecop, and Universal Soldier. Seagal had Hard To Kill, both Under Sieges, Out For Justice, and Above The Law. That's five. Seagal wins.

Seagal looks like the Michelin man now. He'd look fucking ridiculous next to these other old guys who also look ridiculous, but are at least in shape.

Seagal is a better actor. At the very least, he knows his limits. Van Damme is the worst thing in Street Fighter: The Movie. Every line he says feels like he's reading it off a teleprompter for the first time in his entire life. And his accent sucks. Lundgren and Arnold have cool accents. Van Damme's sucks.
Seagal would have to play a bad guy. Or a cameo.

Maybe he could play an evil villain who's wheelchair-bound then. And have women sitting on his lap to cover him up. And maybe some blankets. And strategically placed houseplants in all the shots.

I agree with most of what you said except you excluded Kickboxer, which is Van Dammes best work.

Seagal from Under Siege
Van Damme from Kickboxer
A battle between those two characters could determine who gets to be in the movie... but the condition of this match must be that one of them will never be in films again.

It's not Stallone that has the issues with Seagal. It's with the producer, Avi Lerner, who Segal has vowed never to work with again after bad experiences.
Since Steven Seagal disappeared from bug budget films, he has since been in over 20 direct-to-DVD movies. These cheap cash-ins are the genesis of Seagal’s exclusion from The Expendables. Many of these films were produced by Expendables producer Avi Lerner, whom Seagal became embittered with during filming. Refusing to help line the producer’s pockets with a surefire hit, Seagal turned down a cameo in the original Expendables, and more than likely, any sequels.

I am so excited.
Honestly, I'd rather see Van Damme over Seagal. And come on, Syd -- "worst thing in Street Fighter: The Movie"?? I even like that movie, but that's like saying "ickiest thing in the sewer." Van Damme was great in JCVD.
In any event, I'm still holding out for Turkish Expendables.

Well, Stallone, Scwartz, and Willis are the three kings of action films, and they are all buddies. (They all went in together and started the Planet Hollywood chain back in 1991) So, all they have to do is one day, when smoking $1000 cigars lit by $100 bills, is say "Hey guys, let's make a movie together for shits and giggles."
And, since they are the gods of action films, they can pretty much ask any other actor to be in the film and they will jump at the chance.

I would probably list Mel Gibson as an equally big actor star as Stallone, Arnold, and Bruce, and has arguably had a more successful career.
Kurt Russell has had a less successful career, but is generally highly regarded.
And DarkMaze, Van Damme is definitely a low point in Street Fighter, and keeps it from fully realizing its campy potential. The script is awful, but everyone in the movie plays their part enthusiastically... except Van Damme. Virtually every line Van Damme delivers falls flat. Characters like Ken, Ryu, Zangief, and Dee Jay may be written poorly, but the actors do the best with what they're given. Van Damme takes lines that should be classics, and turns them into trash. The "But We Can All Go Home" monologue should be one of the most quoted segments of the movie, but it's not, because Van Damme delivers it so goddamned poorly. That's why everyone quotes Bison.
You know who should have played Guile? Dolph Lundgren. He looks more like Guile, and he's a better actor.

Mel Gibson should have been the bad guy in the first movie that got blown in half by Lundgren's gun/canon thing.

I quote the "Go Home" speech all the time, sadly most people don't get the reference.
I did the ENTIRE speech at the start of the round of Bad Company 2, and no one knew what I was talking about.
