I was due for an upgrade this past December and decided to get an Optimus because it was free with the upgrade and it is my first Android phone. I must say that I absolutely love it. I was searching around the Android market and stumbled across a free downloadable rom pack. Much to my suprize.....I can download emulators for NES,SNES,Genesis,GBA and PSX. This may be old news to some of you, but I was shocked. I can relive some of my child hood memories right on my fucking phone!! NO WAY!! So I promptly downloaded both a NES and SNES emulator and began jamming. Must say....it's pretty effin' awesome! Technology rules!

Yeah, my HTC Eris does it through droid.
NES runs great.
SNES Plays fine, but the sound is all sorts of jacked up.

Ironically, I am posting from my brother's Android phone right now.
He says the emulators aren't viable for him because they all control so shittily. Do you have that issue?

I have the touch screen and yes/no.
Turn based RPG's are no problem.
Pretty much ANYTHING that doesn't fall into that category, is so fucking impossible to play.
Droid users with a Keyboard are probably 100 times better off.

No sir. If the directional pad weren't on the right side it would be, I'm not left handed so it doesn't feel right. Possible but I don't like it. Also you guys should pick up zenonia 1 and 2. Very awesome zelda esque rpg.

I'll definitely check those out. As far as the touch screen goes, it is kind of a pain in the ass but I'm sure that over time I will get used too it. Just like the retarded Gamecube controller, it takes time.

I once had NES, SNES and N64 emulators for my iPod touch and iPad. The controls are terrible. Also, the game isn't scaled properly, so the image looked rubbish.
There are good NES and SNES emulators for the iPad, though.

Being able to pull out your phone and play all the SNES RPG's is worth the $4.99 in my book. Definitely a time burner when your stuck waiting for class to start. I think there is a free trial or ad supported version of Zenonia 2. Either way it's worth it.
