This has the power to be one of three things.
A) Absolute genius.
B) Complete and utter dreck à la Basketball (yes, I think that movie sucked).
C) A (hopefully) very well orchestrated prank on the part on Stone and Parker.

Baseketball was one of those "yes, we know it's bad" movies where you just look past the farce and enjoy it.
Other movies include:
The Mighty Ducks (was it really THAT good? Or did we really just ENJOY it so much?)
Major League (same principle)
Someone should name that the "Dorn Theory": movies that clearly aren't good but everyone enjoys them thoroughly.
