I hate Superman 3. Superman 3 was terrible. Superman 4 had an excellent script, and would have been a good movie, except the production company overextended their finances and cut a TON of corners to make the movie. Its primary message of nuclear disarmament is still a good one, and it's still way better than Superman 3.
