Alright, I know this has a thread in "Movies" but really felt it needed one here as well. I have yet to see the film, but just got through the fourth book and so far, I think it's pretty incredible.
The characters and their lives are so compelling and all the video game nods are so well placed. The general style kicks a lot of ass and overall it seems to be very well written.
I will probably plow through the last two books within the next couple of days. Who else has read the books and what are your thoughts?

I enjoyed them immensely, even if things got kind of wonky towards the last book or so. the throwback to bleach was pretty cool too.

I bought the first three off of Amazon after I beat the game and saw the movie. I blazed through the first book in a couple of hours and I'm about halfway through the second book. I'm quite impressed so far. I'm in lesbians with the whole Scott Pilgrim franchise. I definitely plan on buying the last three soon.

Hah, me to, I have yet to see the movie, but the game is great.
I was surprised at how quickly I became obsessed with this whole universe. Bryan Lee O'Malley is the man.

Read 1 and 2 on lunch break. My modern ADD sensibilities makes fast reads much more enjoyable.

Thoughts?? I thought books 2 and 3 were the strongest, although it's all pretty damn good.

Book 3 was my favorite for the whole Vegan Police part. I enjoyed reading the entire series. I blew through the first five books in less than a couple weeks. I of course had to wait to get book six though.

Another thing, for the movie, why did they go with "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" when that is only the actual name of one of the books. They should have just called it Scott Pilgrim.

I kinda enjoyed the direction the series was going in the first book until the whole "OMFG VIDEOGAME REFERENCES!!!11!11one1one!" kicked in right at the end of it; haven't touch the series ever since.
Yeah, it seems like a nitpick, but I'll go with the example I told Lordsathien once:
Would you consider The Lord of the Rings an epic story if, right in the middle of it, a giant robot piloted by a gorilla appeared out of nowhere?
If you're gonna imply that the world the story is playing in is weird as shit, it should be something that should be eased through the book, not at the last second.
I'll give it a second chance however. Eventually.
