Honestly I'm more annoyed by the giant red text trend (and isn't red text also a rules vio?) and the deceptive title than I am on the instructions on ruining your Wii.

Bad idea all around.

Hey yeah, red text is reserved for mods. Can someone fix that? I'm on my phone at work...

If I was going to mod a Wii (and I'm already collecting Japanese games in anticipation of doing so), I'd hardware mod it.

I'd rather emulate old games on a laptop than on a modded Wii.

You could go the silly route and play all your roms on official hardware with a Retrozone Powerpak!

I'm thinking of getting one of those someday, though $135 does seem expensive.

A modded Wii can also play Manhunt 2 uncensored.

I've considered modding my Wii, but then I realized I'm way too lazy to make the effort, plus I can't afford a new one when I screw it up and brick the stupid thing. I just don't see the point in doing it when there just aren't that many games I want to play on it. I honestly can't tell you why I even bought it, other than that it was during the time the thing was impossible to find and I stumbled across one at Best Buy. I have spent more time on Wii Sports than any other game on there.

well I won't say you have bad tastes but the wii has had some pretty fucking awesome games come out on it... Ever heard of Mario? Or if you only care about the FPS genera then yes, you have bad tastes... or at least far too narrow of tastes.

I hate the FPS genre for the most part. The only games I've enjoyed on there have been the Mario Galaxy games and the Monster Hunter game I tried. I was a little disappointed in the Harvest Moon game I played. Probably my favorite game on there has been off the download service, FF My Life as a King. Though I have easily put in more hours on the sports game playing bowling. I just haven't seen anything on there that made me want to go out and get it right away.

I kind of just get annoyed when the games force you into motion controls that I can never get to do what I actually do with the remotes. I played some game on there where I was using a sword and every time I swung the damn thing it would do it from a random angle, but rarely the actual angle I used. I gave up trying to block in that game because the controls never let me put it where it needed to go.

The only reason I'd mod my Wii is to play Brawl without the tripping (Honestly, who thought that was a good idea?). And even then, I could just play Melee and play as Dr Mario and Mewtwo.
