GameFAQS is doing a Game of the Decade Poll. Yesterday's poll was SMG vs. LOTZ:TP. Twilight Princess won, by almost a 2:1 margin.
Seeing as I've seen people do nothing but complain about Twilight Princess, I have no idea how in the hell this is possible.
Today's poll, Kingdom Hearts 2 vs. Kingdom Hearts. I WONDER WHICH ONE WILL WIN!

Super Mario Galaxy is a better game, but Twilight Princess is fantastic as well imo. With a franchise like Zelda, people will complain no matter what happens, as the fans are so passionate. Most people liked it I am sure.

Galaxy is far more original and an overall better game. But I loved TP. My vote would definitely go to SMG.

TP was a little flat sometimes but even a so-so Zelda game is still a fantastic game. The first Kingdom Hearts was merely kinda ok in my book, however the sequel was complete garbage.

I pulled for Mega Man 9 both rounds it was in the contest. At this point, if it's to place as high as it can, Metroid Prime has to win becuase it beat Okami, which beat MM9.

There are only a few games left that I even care to vote for. KotOR and Shadow of the Colossus are the two I would be most pleased to see win. Though a win by HL2 wouldn't upset me either. So long as Halo doesn't win, really lol.
When Batman lost to Fallout 3 I was actually kind of disappointed. I thought Batman was the stronger game, at least I beat it without forcing myself to see it through to the end. Fallout 3 just didn't feel like Fallout to me, though I enjoyed the hell out of New Vegas.

In all honesty Twilight princess was fantastic, it deserved the win, however it needed a much more varied color palette.

I was disappointed Tales of Symphonia and TWEWY were both knocked out first round. All I can hope for now is Resident Evil to win.
Aww, who am I kidding? This is a gamefaqs poll. It will come down to Final Fantasy (VS) The Legend of Zelda. I guarantee it.

SMG vs. LOTZ:TP
I am not sure that they can be directly compared since they are very different game types. Both are among the best games in their genre, and I enjoy both genres. If I had to pick one of them based purely on how polished the game was, then SMG wins. Zelda had a much better story though, and I really do think that if it were native to the Wii instead of a Wii/Gamecube split, it would have been even better.
Overall SMG is the one I think is better, but not by much and not if I am in the mood for wielding a shield, sword, and bow and arrow.

I honestly didn't like any of those games. I played the two kingdom hearts games the most, and conversely they were the most annoying.
JRA was right. RE4 deserves the title. I also agree with thunderhorse in Thinking Tales of Symphonia should have made it farther. A lot farther.

Meh, TP was another installment of a fantastic franchise. SMG took a franchise and flipped it upside down, literally, and brought brand new game dynamics. It's the superior game. As great as TP is, it is more of the same with a few wrinkles (not a complaint), but SMG had me hooked from the start of the music on the first planet. If this was SM64 vs. OoT, then this is probably more just a victory.

In any case, I'm just going to say what I always say when it comes to this sort of thing: It's subjective. Someone once said to me "But what if you're comparing something like E.T. on Atari to Half-Life 2?" So what? There might be (God forbid) someone who likes E.T. better than HL2. Personally, I liked TP better than Galaxy, even though I consider Galaxy to be a more ground breaking achievement than TP.

Yeah it is really is all subjective.
I mean personally I hated RE4, though to be honest maybe it was unjustified, but those "zombies" were crap. I tried to get around it but my hours spent playing RE2 refused to allow me to keep playing RE4. I think I had enough about the time one's head came off and super doom tentacles that could strike you from 20 feet away came out to replace it. I even bought RE5 but quickly traded it in, because I want to like where the series is going but I just can't.
My guess is this battle is going to be Halo vs. FF at the end.

In the game of the decade thing they are doing now, no. Halo went up against Halo 3 at one point though.
On a side note, Bethseda just announced ES:V Skyrim on the Video Game awards. 11-11-2011.
