I still won't be seeing this but I'm not surprised they are going the 3D route and Shockwave will be one of the villains in the movie.
It also says in the article that Michael Bay has admitted that Transformers 2 deserved some of the negative criticism it received. I'm sure that won't make Transformers 3 a good movie but anything can be better than Transformers 2...right?

The movie's gonna be on 3D; it CAN be worse. Just imagine all that camera staggering... On 3D.

Ear, read Haddox's review of Transformers 2. I found it to be pretty accurate.
Really? You even asked that? There's plot-holes wide enough that you could drive a MAC truck right through. "Only a Prime can kill another Prime." Unless you're Megatron. Then you can kill Optimus PRIME and it's all Kool and the Gang, but it'll only be temporary, because let's face it, Hasbro need to put out a third version of his toys next movie. Apart from that, the mildly racist humor in some parts, an overweening obsession with Megan Fox (who, while good looking, is a painfully bad actress), stilted dialogue, Sam's totally unnecessary and unfunny parents, and a terrible ending, there's also the horrendous, as AtmanRyu mentioned, camerawork. Now let's toss 3-D, a medium that makes me want to chuck anyway, and see how fast aeonic hurls. Not that I'm going to see it anyway; I'm on a permanent Michael Bay ban after seeing the Nightmare on Elm Street redux. I wish people would stop giving him producing/directing jobs, but there's a lot of meatheads in the world that like pretty colors when things explode, so it's not likely.

i red it and wouldn't say anything against it but to me those were the things that surprised me. the film didn't come up with things i did expect from an, lets say common, hollywood action movie. the movie is trashy as hell i would never doubt that but i always found trashy shit appealing somehow.

Transformers 3 will be a movie I will not give two squirts of shit about seeing, unless my dad is home from offshore and offers to pay for me to go with him to see it. It seems that ever since I moved out of his house, his way of visiting me is by taking us to a movie and dinner.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

I want Optimus Prime to die within the first ten minutes of the movie in the middle of scene that probably should have been preceded by some exposition or explanation, but wasn't.

Well, the third movie is always the worst, why not add some 3D!

They already did the death and rebirth angle in 2 and completely fucked it up.

Bay said he won't do Unicron because a character that huge detracts from the humans, the "real" stars of the movie. Because you know, humans are really the main focus of a movie about giant alien robots from space at war with each other...

I don't see how humans coping with the fact that their planet is ending could possibly be a bad plot for a movie, expecially with the popularity that these disaster movies seem to have lately.

And what if said disaster was a giant robot eating your planet?

So is this a prequel? Or will it take place in the past and then in the present?

Yeah, I mean that does sound pretty awesome.
So let's do that, but this time can we skip like half the human exposition, all the robot fart jokes, John Tuturro's ass and Devastator's balls?

I think Tux should be one of the main bad guys in this movie.
Sure he was a Gobot, but it's all the same thing now.

Here's what ole Megs will be looking like in this film:

Apparently he got whooped on Optimus enough that he decided to copy the same basic alt mode?
