Mjolnir is thor's hammer in marvel comics. It probably has real meaning, but that was what I was thinking of at the time. Burning hammer is Kenya kobashi's finishing move. Pistols at dawn just sounds cool.
I'm surprised Alex Murphy and the robocops is so popular. That one was more of a joke.

Mjolnir: the hammer Odin weilds in Norse mythology, if I'm not mistaken.
Also, the name of the base armor in Halo.

which is funny, because we do this thing sometimes where we open up with the sonic the hedgehog theme, draw out a chord, and then go into the halo theme.
