I only ended up buying a new DVD burner and an SD card from Newegg. Ironically, I currently have more money in my bank account than I ever did all year.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can. |

Despite the crowds and such i decided to go out and check the stores for sales. Costco actually had some good deals. I decided to get a tv , 1080p, 26 inche Vizio. It was about 250 which wasnt a bad price and it fits nice in my room. and yes that is a bears poster in the background.

| I work at Walmart (ICS) and on Thanksgiving I had to work from noon to 9pm, then I had to go back at 1am Friday morning and work until 10am basically as crowd control for the Black Friday specials. We had to sign waivers earlier in the week and agree to stand in one spot based on the plan the management had drawn up to make sure no one would get trampled. Walmart here on Long Island has agreements with the county police because of a person who got trampled to death a couple years back at their Valley Stream location. If any employee strayed from their assigned spot, we were warned that they would definitely be fired the next day. I got cursed at a lot by angry customers and was very tired, because I did not get any sleep in between shifts, because my girlfriend wanted me to come home for Thanksgiving dinner. And after I got out of work at 10am on Friday, I had to go back in later and work my regular 4-1am shift and unload 3 trucks, then pull the pallets of merchandise to the floor amidst still insane amounts or people who were basically attacking me and taking the shit like starving Africans before I could even get to where I was going, leaving most of it all over the floor. And my coworkers and myself were yelled at for it all, LOL. I am just now waking up from my first sleep since Wednesday night. |
A fellow unloader! Wow, your Wal-Mart sounds harsh.

I try my best to stay away from any form of store on black Friday. I understand there are insane deals (like best buy here was advertising a 37" HDTV with a Wii for $399) but one I don't have the cash to go drop on stuff, and I hate dealing with the people.
Either way, I was at my parents house for Thanksgiving weekend, and My mom dragged me to Kohl's at like Noon. It was still a good 30min wait to check out. But everything was pretty much 50% off or more.

My Fiance went out at like 10, her friend and her were going to Toys R' Us but the line was seriously like a mile long so they went to Walmart which sold stuff at Midnight which was nice, and then she went to Target. Target had like all the appliances for like $3. So now our house has a functioning kitchen. More power to her. You don't always have to get Big Items for it to be worth it. Be that as it may I will never go out into that black abyss.
