Just a random thought I had.......
In Rocky IV, according to the newspaper headlines leading up the fight with Drago, it says that Rocky was stripped of his heavyweight title because the bout would not be sanctioned. So Rocky was not the champion when he fought Drago, and thus the fight was not for the title.
In the beginning of Rocky V, Rocky is accosted by Union Kane and the Don King guy who want to fight for Rocky's title. So apparently now Rocky is the champion again.
So I'm left a bit confused......was Rocky stripped of his title in Rocky IV, or was the fight with Drago simply not a title fight and he was still the champ?
FYI I also realize that Rocky's kid aged about 6 or 7 years during the time Rocky was in Russia. And that Rocky V kind of sucked. (But I don't think it sucked as bad as most people seem to think.)

Also, Rocky's trainer Mickey said in the first film he was 76 years old, however in Rocky III when he died, his tombstone indicated 76 years of life. (I can't remember the exact dates) however the first film came out in 1976, whereas the third film came out in 1982. Now I know there had to be some kind of time frame in there since in the first film Rocky had just gotten together with his wife-to-be and in the third film he already had a child that seemed to be 5 or 6 years old. Now do they expect us to believe that everyone aged 5 or 6 years except Rocky's trainer? Just saying...

Keep in mind, the kid ages considerably throughout the films, despite the time frame slowing down. Rocky 5 begins right after the Drago fight, yet his kid is 5 years older.

There's a simple explanation for that age thing. Mickey used Voodoo to make a pact with Satan so he would stop aging and live a little longer. The terms of the deal were that Satan gets his soul of course, but also that Mickey's lost years must be passed on to somebody else. So the six years that he didn't age between 1976 and 1982 were passed on to Rocky's son as revenge for Rocky beating Satan's favorite evil ally, communism. All this happens in Rocky II.V, which is coming out next year because I'm writing the script and sending it to Stallone. I've already recast Mickey in case you were wondering. He's now played by Bob Barker.

I can't wait for Rocky VII: Adrien's Revenge, where Rocky's fourty year old son fights Drago, gets killed, and then there's a training montage with Adrien sparring heavy weights in Apollo's old gym to prepare for a fight with Drago in a secretly re-formed Soviet Union!

I think in the next Rocky movie, he should fight all the classic movie monsters like The Wolf Man, Frankenstein's Monster, The Mummy, and Dracula. He should even fight The Invisible Man, that would be an intense fight as Rocky gets pummeled by an opponent he can't see.
