Hey guys!

As most of you may know, I'm in a kick ass band called The Two Words. We're taking a break from show for the rest of the year and are moving towards focusing on song-writing, as well as business, for a while. Which brings me to our first issue.

We need a logo! I have a ton of ideas written down, but haven't picked one. Anyone who is interested, give us two ideas. If we a) pick yours, or b) pick one of ours, but yours was our favorite outside submish, we'll hook you up with free shit.

We're a powerpop band with a female singer that are in the same musical vein as Paramore and Shiny Toy Guns. Hopefully that helps designers.

Our second task! I'm going to be setting up street teams. Once we have music on our MySpace (soon!), I'm going to enlist any volunteers to be a street team for their area. If you're interested, please let me know, and we'll work out details. You will also receive free shit.

Sign me up for the Street Team. I'd design a logo too, but A) I have no artistic talent, and 2) I don't have a computer.

I'm not an artist but the idea of doing a 3D perspective logo. Two words can be a broken up way of saying towards, e.g. the logo for Two Words is coming toward the viewer like:

R
D
S

Only a lot closer together that that. Or even something like:

TWOWORDS

how about writing out "the two words", so that it forms a 2?

I think you need to blend the "wo" in Two, with the "wo" in Words using color/size or something so it looks like one word, but is clearly the two of them. Quick MS Paint example of what I mean:

We're open to all ideas. I've used everything from cliche thoughts to using a roman numeral II as the centrepiece. The biggest issue is including 'The' without giving it equal importance.

We haven't put together a promotional package yet, but I'll explain it all before I send them.

2W Maybe play around with coloring a 2 and a W.

Or the logo can be two planets colliding.

But then everyone will think the band's name is Two Worlds Razz

Show a guy holding up two middle fingers, or have one hand holding up the middle finger and the other hand's finger pointing at the person. That could be your "two words" maybe the man could be Uncle Sam.

Do you guys practice using youtube songs at all, hear a song by some guitarist, and then see if you can replicate it on your instrument, or various things like that. Sounds cool, if i get a chance to mess around on paint, i'll try to make some possible logs.

All decent ideas, my dad actually came up with an idea like Thunderhorse's.

And negatory Alex. We may not even widespread release this demo. The music is for MySpace and venue managers, and the logo is for all promo material

I read that as "The Two Worlds" and spent most of this topic thinking about Marvel VS Capcom.

I charge $125 an hour for Logotypes (if it has words in it, it's not a logo, btw) but for you Ross, I'll do it for free, just gotta give me some time as I'm currently swamped at work.
