I'm pretty sure Mysterion is Kenny, although he does sound like Clyde.

Kenny has got to be either Mint Berry Crunch or Mysterion.

He wasn't Mintberry. Completely different hair, and there was a kid with similar hair unmasked.

Season 9: Free Willzyx
Also, Tom Cruise was up there next to him.

From the South park FAQ:

Who is Mysterion?
This is driving me crazy!! Who the hell is Mysterion?
AnswerCreated with Raphaƫl
Dearest fans,
This question has been asked about a billion times -- and as I've mentioned before, THERE IS NO DEFINITE ANSWER. I wish I could tell you who Mysterion in, but I'm seriously. I have no idea. Matt and Trey are the only ones on the entire staff that have this knowledge, and they don't seem to want to give it up.
BUT here's the clues I've gathered from that episode: It's one of the kids in Mr. Garrison's class and it's not Kyle, Cartman or Butters (because all of them are in a scene together with Mysterion). Also, Clyde was sleeping in class...don't know if that's a clue or if Cartman's Coon presentation was just that boring. And lastly, after Mysterion is "revealed", Cartman says he guessed the kid's identity earlier. The only kids he called out directly were: Craig, Kyle (it's not him), Stan, Clyde, Kenny, and Wendy...kinda.
So there. That's all I know. I'm super cereal. |
I swear one of the other heroes was Clyde (he had his voice), Stan was the Toolbox, and Wendy wasn't there.
I'm well aware I'm subverting the joke.

I think the Mosquito sounded like Kyle if he had his nose pinched.

I thought that episode was great. Kenny being Mysterion works so well, especially with this "power".

Another good trilogy. Honestly south park should just do big story arcs in their seasons it seems to be their strong point.

Awesome episode, I kinda agree with the big story arc idea, those usually turn out to be awesome episodes. Interesting take on Kenny, and can't wait for part 3.

The first episode was a little slow, but that's because it had to set things up. This episode was fantastic. Cartman + Cthulhu = awesome.

Cartman riding Cthulhu was hilarious.
I thought the imitation of the LeBron James Commerical was funny too.

Am I the only one who thought it was just so-so?
I mean, it was better than any Family Guy episode in the last two years, but it didn't even come close to "You Have 0 Friends", "Its a Jersey Thing", "Fishsticks", "Butter's Bottom Bitch", "Whale Whores", or "The F Word".
I guess if I were more into comics it might have additional appeal, but for me, the only real draw to this episode was Kenny's subplot.

They pulled out a random My Nieghbor Totoro reference which made me lose it. If you haven't seen it I suggest you do so. It will make the whole last half so much better. Great episode.

So now the big question is, who the fuck is Mint-Berry?

He was just some extra character, probably from another grade or another school, since he definitely isn't in Garrison's class.

I knew that sounded familiar. I think I've only seen the opening, but I totally remember that melody.

I looked into Mint-Berry, and it turns out we have seen that character a couple of times before. He's one of those 5th-string background characters, though...

Eh, I liked it.
Wish it explained how Kenny disappeared for a year, though.

That's true, plus it contradicts the movie.

It's a cartoon you goddamn nerds.
I just watched both of the new episodes and laughed my tits right off. Good stuff.
Also, Dodds : See the flat top having weirdo with the ammo chest belt in your sig? I still own him, he's actually sitting on a shelf with a shit load of other random action figures. When you crank his arm, sparks light up his little chest stone. AND IT STILL WORKS.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I was interested in buying them again for nostalgia purposes, even though a lot of people fucking hated them. I remember Long John Silver's had little M.U.S.C.L.E. men of them. Good times.
And you're right, I forgot he mentioned that, but it still doesn't bridge the large amounts of time he spent there, since I figured he dies and immediately wakes up in his bed, or a certain time in the morning, he reappears.
Yeah, Josh is right...it's a fucking cartoon.
