With everything from Haunted House to Donkey Kong Country to NBA Jam making a comeback, why not Road Rash? Road Rash was great back in the day.

It depends on which Road Rash we are talking here. To me, I loved the PlayStation version, it was mind blowing at the time graphics wise and nothing beats jamming out to Soundgarden as you chain whip your opponent.

I only played Road Rash Jailbreak once and it was pretty fun, but my personal favorite I played on my PSP as a part of the EA collection, was RR3... that was bad ass...

Every Road Rash game was awesome as a pair of T's EXCEPT for Road Rash 64 which was not a good game in the least bit.
Why it has disappeared since has boggled my mind.

Road Rash 64 was a lot of fun, dammit. But it was pretty different.
But yeah, bringing Road Rash back seems like a no-brainer. And EA owns the IP. EA who milks the bejesus out of every other IP they own. I'm surprised we're not already getting yearly installments.

Damnit, we need to have current stats every year on the outlaw bike race circuit!

Fuck, I say this like every day just about. I'm always like, "Why don't they bring back Road Rash?" and everyone else is like "WTF are you talking about?" and then I'm all like "OMFG you guys suck."
I'm pretty sure there's a market out there for a violent motorcycle racing game. If not, then I have no faith in humanity.

Soooo Much This.
I remember all the neighborhood kids saying there was some secret "shotgun" weapon you could get.
At 11 or 12 it seemed total reasonable that someone would shoot someone else in the face with a shotgun to win a motorcycle race.
I loved the videos too of you getting busted. The cops seriously just beat the hell out of you or dragged you behind the car or something.

I'm still waiting for the other great IPs they own, that they have buried in their vaults:
Wing Commander (Especially the Privateer offshoot)
Ultima
Strike Commander
Syndicate
Crusader
Moebius
Populous
Dungeon Keeper
With the exception of one crappy Xbox Arcade Wing Commander game, none of these have been touched in 10+ years.
Check out this Alpha Pre-VIS demo someone made as a proof of concept for a new Road Rash game:

They do have Populous on the DS... I bought it at a BJ's wholesale Club up here in NY. It might be just because I was never good at Populous on the SNES, but the DS version is just as hard.

Now that I think about it, a Road Rash style bike race would have fit perfectly in the Saint's Row series.

Ah, Road Rash. Few games could bring the fun and the lulz in equal parts as Road Rash did.

You know, I don't think anyone ever died imitating Road Rash, either. And they could've. That's like the easiest game ever for kids to imitate, just get on your bike and hit each other with crowbars. I'm surprised it didn't happen.

Actually my brother and I did. If we were riding our bikes and one of us was unsuspecting, we'd ride by and punch each other. We never worked our way up to chains or 2x4's though.

The one's on Genesis were the only ones I played. And they were awesome.

I loved those ones I bolded so much. I really wish they would do something with them.
And unsure about Crusader, but was that one with a dude in a red suit that kinda looked like Boba Fett? If it is, imagine it bolded as well. Because whatever that game was, it fucking rocked too.

Sorry for the double post but I just stumbled on this and felt it was relevant.

I loved the comedy that was packed into the game. The way the guy would yell "YEA!" when he snagged an opponent's crowbar, or how you could hit an oncoming car at 200mph, fly 100 yards through the air, then just get up and run back to your bike.
