Recently, It seems my computer is dropping my router randomly.

I have a digital face router, specifically a Belkin N1 Vision which is suppose to be a gaming Router, that will tell me when my proxy has dropped. When my computer drops it, I check it, and the router still has internet flowing to it, and is connected to my wife's computer.

As soon as I unplug the router, and plug it back it, no problem, it reconnects.

But its extremely annoying when attempting to download large files overnight.

It appears that my windows (windows 7) just loses it completely and cannot find the network, and yes, I can see other networks to select from.

Any suggestions on what to check out?
Or need more info?

I would begin by doing three things.

1. Use a surge supressor that cleans the power it sends out. If you have a batter backup (UPS) that is even better.
2. Update the router's firmware.
3. Reset the router and reconfigure.

Thanks, I'll check this stuff out and get back you. Also, noticed my Wireless Card had new drivers availible to it. I downloaded them and installed, but really haven't had time to see if it made a diffrence.

I'll see whats up when I get home from work today.
