This so called Clear 4G wimax at my girlfriend's is pretty wonky too, sometimes its really fast, other times it doesn't connect at all.

T-Mobile has the worst 3G on the planet. It's gotten to the point where I've become something of a laughingstock at school for being the only one not able to get signal in class.

I have a pretty old phone, not a big issue for me. I think I am a ways off owning any 3G device anyways.

I feel like 2G coverage is being cutback. My iPhone reception keeps getting worse and worse.

I have an older LG 290c, and I have perfect 5 bar reception at my house in the country. When my friends come over with their iPhones or Androids they can't get shit for reception, it's fucking hilarious.

The original? You know, the one that didn't have 3G or 3GS in its name? It uses EDGE, which is 2G.

EDGE was 2.75G... yeah... I don't know how the fuck they came up with the number, but it falls somewhere between 2G and 3G.
It follows many of the 3G specifications but doesn't meet others, while it does at the least support the minimums of 2G all the time.
