You guys know how much, I and a few other people on the site fawn over Neverwinter Nights 1.
Well, now you can too!
GOG.com has just acquired the Diamond Edition and are selling it for only $9.99!
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/neverwinter_nights_diamond_edition/
If you are even remotely interested in it, get it! This is also the best version as it contains the original Neverwinter Nights and all the official expansion packs: Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark and Kingmaker.
The Multiplayer community is also still running strong, so if singleplayer isn't your thing, then you can come and play with us!
Also, the requirements are nothing compared to today's systems, so yes, your 5 year old system should be able to run it just fine:
Windows XP or Windows Vista
1 GHz Processor (1.4 GHz recommended)
256MB RAM (512 recommended)
3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended)

Agreed... after their fake out of closing, they not only got new games on the catalog, but also rewarded the faithful with a free game!

I've still got my original copy of the game, but the cd-key enclosed no longer works for some reason. Actually I bought it with my first paycheck. I missed out on the expansions though. I remember making it to level 18 or 19 by the start of Act 3, as an Elf Ranger/Rogue and took "human" as my first favored enemy.

No, the Gamespy service that it employs, shows every server, everywhere. I know because, a server might look interesting by it's name, so I click on "Server Details" and the description will be in Spanish, French, etc.
Also, this game was made back when dial-up internet was the norm. In fact, that is how I first played it online. So, even if you play on a server far away, the ping isn't that big an issue. You might get some lag here and there, but it doesn't really hurt anything like in a FPS game.

I'll buy it this coming Tuesday or Thursday and play online with anyone from the forums, but bear with my extreme shittiness, because I've never played NwN.
