Both ship November 7th. DSi comes bundled with Mario Kart DS, Wii comes bundled with New Mario. The DSi has the classic power-ups etched on it, the Wii doesn't seem to. The Wii also still has the same shitty 512 MB on internal memory that was inexcusable at launch, and really should have been upped for this special edition.

Also, while other regions get their Wii loaded with a special 25th anniversary of the original SMB, North America seems to be getting fucking over. Also, why package with the anniversary systems with best-selling games? These are clearly collector's items for Wii and DS, and enthusiasts already have those games.

They're supposed to be, but who knows.

The DSi at least has stuff etched on it. Sure, it's not as cool as the NES Edition GBA SP, but at least it's something. The Wii is just a red Wii. There's no guarantee Nintendo won't keep producing red Wiis.
