GP,

For sure, I just really enjoy the taste of Isopure, the dutch chocolate actually tastes like Nestle Quick. As for the artificial sweeteners, I don't mind them in rare doses. I buy it online so the cost is around $36 for 3lbs, or sometimes Vitamin world has a good sale on it. I might try ON, I need to switch it up before I get tired of it.

Alright, So starting to understand a little better.

Carbs in the morning
Mid morning to lunch snack (fruit works)
Grow some balls and eat some Veggies in my Salad.
Afternoon Snack (Protein Shake maybe)
Protein Meal dinner

now I see you giving this 85/15 and 97/3 on the burgers, what do those numbers represent?

Also, I usually work out right after work. So looking at 3-4pm. Would it be more beneficial to drink a protein shake before or after my workout? and how long before/after?

Seriously guys, thanks again. I just don't have too much experience in this stuff.

Still suggesting tapeworm, cigarettes and meth. You'll get shredded.

I have heard this fact.

Throw laxatives in the mix too right?

Those ratios represent lean meat/fat so 85/15 is 85 percent lean meat and 15 percent fat.

As for your breakfast, if you're looking to lose weight, I don't think going carb based is your best bet. 2 eggs, a little meat, a small handful of nuts, and an apple fills me up for a lot longer than oats or cereal. Everyone is different though so maybe your body would react differently than mine.

Also if you want to burn some extra calories during your workouts and not feel as sore afterward, take a caffeine supplement (caffeine pills are dirt cheap online - 1fast400.com) about 40 minutes to an hour pre-workout. I started doing this about a year ago and besides for the few weeks out of the year when I avoid caffeine, I've never looked back. If you want I can dig up a few studies outlining it's benefits.

About the 100% ON Protein, that's one of the most highly regarded whey supplements, so you're doing nothing wrong by using it.

Take the Protein shake immediately after your workout.

When you buy ground beef there is a ratio of meat to fat content. 85/15 means 85% meat and 15% fat. 97/3 means 97% meat and 3% fat. More fat (to a point... 85%) does make the burger taste better. Less fat means... less fat. Alternative names to the numbers would be "lean burgers". I highly recommend that you try some high quality turkey burgers as well. Personally I like them better than lean burgers.

As for the carbs for breakfast. I am simply suggesting that you eat your carbs earlier rather than later. You don't need to have carbs every breakfast. I do about 4 out of 7 days a week. I tend to have carbs for dinner the other 3, but only on days when I am up late and doing heavy martial arts at night.

As a workout supplement this is perfect timing. Just don't count this against your meals. So in other words, if you plan on having 2 servings of protein during the day, don't count a protein shake after a workout as one of them.
