The colorful young hide and seek professional was a hit in the 90's, a famed actor for children who eventually had his own T.V. show, but alas, his career in show biz was not to be as the master of stealth in his recognizable outfit.

So what happened to this mysterious character? after afew brief appearances in the famous explosm web comic cyanide and happiness

ah yes over the internet wlado fans still reminicse about our beloved hero, a few feature movies have even been rumored to be in the works

in 2002 a movie was announced by paramount, but with that falling through it would appear that not too long ago in june of 2009, Universal acquired the rights to have Waldo appear on the big screen, possibly in 2012 but for now we must only speculate.

As it turns out, Waldo is still around but with a bit of a dark side

It turns out Waldo is a drug addict and a diabetic, his drug use which im guessing started during his years in the spotlight never left him, he was never able to recover and when the money stopped coming in, Waldo had to take more extreme measures to feed the beast,

Here is more on the story

'Waldo Bandit' strikes in Oregon

By QMI Agency

A man the FBI has dubbed the "Where's Waldo Bandit" is wanted for robbing a bank in Tualatin, Oregon.

The suspect earned his nickname because of his brown mop of hair, black prescription glasses and striped cream and brown sweater.

The Waldo-esque thief wandered into Key Bank in Tualatin at around 1 p.m. Tuesday, walked over to the table where you fill out deposit slips, opened a box, and pulled out what looked like a piece of paper, said FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele.

When the bank tellers motioned for him to come over, he told them he had an explosive device and demanded cash.

He left the box behind when he fled, prompting authorities to evacuate the bank and nearby buildings. No explosives were found.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-6 and of average weight.

Oh Waldo, how we do pray for your speedy recovery, this is a sad story of one lovable character who fell through the cracks of society Sad

Let's assume it's a mixture of the two!

I miss Waldo. His video games, especially the one for NES are putrid, but probably poor to decent for 3-6 year olds.

You know what I REALLY miss? The I Spy books. Remember those?

Memoriiiiieeeees. I really did love those things. I became an addict, but they can't hold a candle to those 3-D Magic Eye books.

I never got those, never saw anything. Made about as much sense to me as Magic the Gathering did to me when I was 8.

Marbleworks, there's another second rate children's toy that always gets second billing to Domino Rally.

Everyone I know says the same thing. But I can see them almost instantly. I don't get what the big deal is. Just shove your face in the book and cross your eyes. Even from across the room, if there's a similar pattern on a wall, I can cross my eyes and the image becomes 3-D for some reason. Very Happy

I've never been able to see those goddamn things. Not once. Not even when I'm told what it is in the picture. I feel like Willem in Mallrats in perpetuity.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

I read the french "Where's Waldo?" it is called "Ou est Charlie?"

Yeah apparently Waldo in french is Charlie. If that makes any sense what so ever.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Apparently, Wally in the United States is Waldo. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

So it is one word? I was 50/50 on that. If you look closer my spelling of "Ou" is wrong. There is an accent "grav" on the "u" I believe. It's french so no one cares.

I also found out that the french version is really easy. That, or I've become better at finding that goofy looking bastard.

I think this is my 777th post. I'm feeling lucky.

I've never tried it with graph paper. Good thing I have some sitting right next to me.

... And yes, it's trippy. Hard to focus on for some reason.
