Once in a decade, a movie so profound is created that it shifts the perspective of an entire generation. Citizen Kane. The Godfather. 2001: A Space Odyssey. Twilight. All of these films are considered to have reached the pinnacle of cinematography. Now, the SyFy channel, which has brought us masterpieces such as Raptor Island and Mega Snake, has brought forth a new masterwork.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present Sharktopus.

Official Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK2bBfuepKk

Genetically engineered by the United States Navy to help combat Somali pirates, the Sharktopus soon escapes...

I expect that everybody in the world is super-pumped for this defining expression of high art.

How the heck can the Sharktopus walk on land? Sharks can't do that. Octopodes can't do that. Can I reverse engineer the ability to breath underwater from the sharktopus' skills?

Let's also not forget about last summer's blockbuster

Clearly even if it was VS on-camera, some of the cast members were feeling a bit frisky on their offtime...

I mean look at that hug they're sharing on the poster alone.

Oh yeah I watched this one. Kind of a letdown. They had like one fight scene between the beasts, and used it like 5 times.
I guess you can't expect all that much from a movie with that kind of budget...
Still keeping my hopes up for sharktopus 'cause I never learn Smile

Whatever. Megashark vs. Giant Octopus was an Asylum film. Those are destined to be awful.

Sharktopus, on the other hand, is produced by Roger Corman. Instant win.

Holy crap. That's freaky, and the effects in that gif don't look completely horrible. This may actually be watchable.

I saw it. Eric Roberts was the best part of the movie. The effects were pretty schlocky, but it IS a Corman movie. I would say don't buy the DVD or anything, just record it.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.
