Did the Muppets actually have a Christmas special, or are you thinking of the movie?

Are you serious? It was released in theaters, which makes it a movie.

A holiday special is a special episode of a show, usually a cartoon, shown in a special primetime timeslot. Examples of a holiday special include:

Christmas Comes To Pac-Land
A Garfield Christmas
It's Christmas, Charlie Brown
He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special

A Christmas special should not be confused with a holiday-themed episode of a show. The Simpsons has had Christmas EPISODES, but never a Christmas SPECIAL.

Holiday specials have also been produced for movies or toys that never had their own show. See The Star Wars Holiday Special or The Cabbage Patch Kids' First Christmas.

What about the Muppets/Fraggle Christmas thing? Wasn't that a special?

Hey, that's right. That was called Muppet Family Christmas or something like that.

Actually, now that I think of it, there were several Christmas specials produced by Jim Henson's studio that I have lying around on VHS:

Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas
The Christmas Toy

And according to IMDB, there's also one called "John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together". That sounds priceless.

The John Denver one is from sometime in the 70s... and it sucked. Trust me. My brother loves The Muppets more than anything else in the world, and we've seen EVERYTHING they've EVER been in numerous times!

Do you think planes crash for no reason? If 9/11 taught us anything, it's that planes are the true St. Peters of Earth.

RIP Hacker.

I know you didn't mean it this way, but the first thing I thought after reading that Rycona, is that John Denver's plane crashing was some sort of terrorist act! LOL

That's funny.

-----------------
[October 2, 1997]

Terrorist 1: "Ok, so we need to hit America hard. What should we do?"
Terrorist 2: "I hear they really, really, really like this singer...I think his name is John Denver."
Terrorist 1: "Looks like some singer that you think is named John Denver is about to get his ass kicked."

-----------------
[3 Years and 11 Months Later]

Terrorist 1: "Ok, people, let's try this again. That didn't work at all."
Terrorist 3: "Where's Bob?"
Terrorist 1: "It turns out he was very wrong, so I sent him to America on some lofty mission to gather recruits and crash planes into the World Trade Center. What a dumbass! I can't believe he fell for it."

RIP Hacker.
