Can we get a link with screenshots and verified information? I'd like some hard facts before I totally write this off.

That doesn't really give me any actual information. Just a confirmation, which wasn't needed, and then a rehash about blah blah blah in development forever blah blah blah 3D Realms shut down and shit I already knew.
Again, looking for screenshots or actual details about the game. If that silly ass ego system is real, I'm so not interested.

Finally, damnit... finally.
For the sake of a complete universe, I'm pretty happy about this. I didn't like Borderlands on account of it being too simple for my taste, but that's the kind of action I'd expect from a Duke Nukem title.
Thanks for sharing =)

The operative part of the sentence being: FOR MY TASTE. I don't want to derail this thread. I expected Borderlands to be something else and felt disappointed, but I am not, by any means, implying that it is a bad game. I just didn't like it. If you like it, then you're happier than I am in that respect, I bought something I did not enjoy.

Hah, relax man, I was not flaming you. Simply interested in why you thought it was "too simple" since I felt it was fairly deep, especially when you really sink your teeth into it. What were you expecting?
On topic, Gearbox now completely owns the Duke Nukem IP.

=) Alright, sorry if I seemed defensive, I don't wanna step on anyone's toes.
I don't know, I... they said they invented the "Role Playing Shooter" so I thought "Someone bold enough to say that and completely ignore such games as System Shock and Deus Ex must have some balls, or some helluva game"
And that's it. Completely my fault!

Yea, it's more of a shoot and loot. But there is tons of level progression and stat allocation. And despite Fallout 3 being pretty good, I thought the FPS action in Borderlands was stronger overall. Felt less stiff and more natural.

So, is it safe to call this thread "The death and rebirth of Duke Nukem" now?

And after being dead for about a year and tossed in a cave to be forgotten, Duke Nukem would later rise from his grave sometime around Labor day. And he had beer.

We can start a rebirth thread after it is being sold. I won't 100% believe it until then.

So awesome. I love me some Duke Nukem and it's so nice to see the developers seem to have lovingly stuck with what made Duke so refreshing 12 years ago and not tried to take themselves too seriously.

YES! YES! This is delicious!
I'm a bit wary about the vehicles, but everything else looks like classic Duke. Also, I want that Xbox 360 controller at the end.
