I think we should get classic protoman, megaman.exe, and megaman zero. Now we've covered our big three, pleased the classic fans, eased the zero fanboys, pleased the protoman fanboys, gave us three new characters to play with, shut up the people that bitch about roll for no reason, and didn't give us any tvc holdovers. Mmz and zx are technically part of the x series, so now we've covered five of the seven.

Nobody cares about starforce, and we already had volnutt in tvc. He sucked.

Axl had a great story they could have built on, but they took the "I don't remember anything about myself" cop out in X7, and then made up a bunch of contradictory stuff in X8.

It also doesn't help that his voice and personality were childish and annoying.

Personally I think that just like the Megaman Zero series did, X7 and X8 should have been called Megaman Axl. They should have ditched X and Zero (so as to avoid the gigantic plotholes that their existence created) and concentrated on fleshing Axl's story out. He could have been a wanderer who didn't know much of his past that Joined Code Red or whatever it was called in hopes of finding answers. He could have believed that he was an old style Reploid like the other characters, only to discover that he was a prototype of the new styled Reploids, and then fought them and their rebellion. They could have thrown some stuff in there about Red knowing his past and keeping it a secret to avoid such a thing from happening, because Red believed in the world that the new Reploids were trying to create, and didn't want Axl, his friend, to get involved.

Ditch Sigma, maybe keep Vile, although coming back from the dead three times is kinda cliche. Maybe it could have been somebody else that took over Vile's visage, like Boba did with Jango in Star Wars.

There's room to work with it, I think.

To be fair, I really liked tron's sprites in mvc2. She was well animated and had some fun expressions. It'll be cool to see how she moves on the new engine.

Maybe the boulder will be the capcom boss and the chopper will be the marvel boss. The chopper would only be a henchman though. It could never hope to compete with the criminal genius if the boulder.

Agreed. I really didn't think she was that popular to begin with. I figured we'd get stuck with Volnutt's lame ass.
