Edit I just found out that this game is 2 players. Although it doesnt say anywhere just press start on the second controller. All you can see is their boots on your screen, but it is simultaneous two player goodness.
My Friend John and I are playing and beating all the beatable games for the NES, not Roms but the Actual Games. We're about 34 games in when my friend John brought over some new games for the night. He brought over the severly underrated Fisher Price: Fire Rescue, we actually had to continue at one point...those mazes are ridiculous...and Skull & Crossbones.
Skull & Crossbones is an old Tengen Cart meaning not only is it nearly impossible to get out of a Nintendo with a new pin set in it, but its also so crappily made that the mere playing of the game makes you cringe.
This game is ridiculously hard. If you haven't played it...DON'T...it's that bad. Now we played that damn game for about 2 - 3 hours and have yet to beat it. Try #2 is coming up this next week.
Has anyone actually beat this game? Does anyone have any strategies? I hate to get Owned by a damn priate named Oneeye, one word. But the damn bastard can only use a sword 20 times before switching to throwing knifes 11 times then to a gun usually has about 12 shots. He's a god damn pirate he should be able to keep some weapons.
If anyone knows what I'm talking about we made it to the wizard level with about 3 continues left but no weapons and then you gotta pull a megaman-esque, beating all the bosses again. Were not gonna stop til we beat it but if anyone has a suggestion or strat let me know. My blood pressure would appreciate it.[/b]

Not that anyone truly cares, maybe i'm mistaken and you were secretly waiting to give me the information i wanted as I proclaimed that I would commit suicide because of this game...I beat it!! I would suggest playing it, most likely on a Rom because I doubt Game Crazy will have a "classic" such as this.

No I mean we had the actual hard copy of the game that you would place into an actual nintendo and play on your tv with an authentic nintendo controller, without the save states and loads associated with a rom. I have the rom but Jnes doesnt support Mapper #64 and Nester when you start it scrolls the screen and when you press start it freezes.
Is it that hard to believe that I played the actual game. Do you have some hatred towards me cause I beat it. Am I a Pug?

Stop talking to Murdar. He's fucking with you. In any case, despite the nintendo seal a whole lotta shit got released on that system. I recommend going for good games first. Like demon sword.

We aren't going in any particular order. We just grab a stack and then spend the next 10 hours playing them. I don't think starting with the "good" ones first would be such a great idea, when we get to the end, if that ever happens, we'll just be like "blah this sucks" "we already beat all the cool games", im proud of the accomplishment. It was definitly one of the greater hours of NES play we have performed.
And as far as Murdars Cat fucking around with me, I know his cat meant no harm. Regardless of how rude he/she was. Prolly pissed at Murdar for not cleaning the litter box and had poop matted to its fur. Can't really blame her/him.

It's not me but just so you know what the game looks like if you can't find a rom that works...that's assuming you want to play it. That's also assuming you read this.

Hmmm, I have the NES romset, but I don't have that one. Could you send me the rom you guys played? (joke)
That game actually doesn't look half bad. The whole stabbing them repeatedly and having blood shoot out kinda looks cool, at least.

Here's a very brief description of the plot, and what you must do.
Wizard steals your girl. Places an Axe weilding psychopath, a Green Kung-fu master, and a lady with a cauldron in your way.
Get weapons, Don't use weapons, Get More weapons, Jump on clouds, Stab Shit.
Oh and Don't use your gun. Try to beat the game.
This sounds very complex, and I assure you it is, you must try this yourself. And for the record I honestly don't think Save States would help.

Destiny of an Emperor is a pretty cool game from what I remember. Good luck with Power Punch II.

I'd like to know if/when you beat Snake, Rattle N' Roll. That game was ridiculous. I haven't played it in forever and back in the day I only beat it with Game Genie. Even with infinite lives on, the end boss was a major pain in the ass, the reason for that being that you need to hit him a shitload of times to kill him and you need to do it all consectutively. If you go more than a second without hitting the boss, his life completely heals.

I'll definitly let you know. My buddy just got kicked out of his mom's house so he's staying at my place until he can find a place which means I now have all his games in my grubby little mits. Finding certain games will be the hard part.
We just finished the Castlevania's off and Level 9 probably took us a good 3 hours to beat. We looked on gamefaqs after we beat the level and found out there is a uber easy way to beat your doppelganger.
I challenege everyone to try beating stage 9 without using the trick. It was ridiculous. Almost as hard as Skull & Crossbones.
