This shit makes me sick. I agree you have freedom of speech, and right to protest, but really? At a funeral? Let the family bury their child without you spewing your hate over their shoulders. I'm glad someone tried to pepper spray them.

Shit like this makes me want to hate the fact that we have free speech. It's deplorable and sickening. That said, it appears that both they and the counter-protesters were assembled peacefully, and were about a block away from the actual funeral so they weren't directly interfering in it which would be disorderly conduct and probably trying to incite a riot. They're assholes and they deserve to die, but it's their right to do this.

You know, the more I think about it, the less I think free speech was intended for this sort of thing. I seriously think that if you went back in time and brought the writers of the constitution to the present to show what was being done in the name of the First Amendment, they would have eliminated it right then and there.

See, what I want to see happen is that they all live a nice, long life, and when they die and go into the light, they see a huge hand extend from it clutching a sign that says, "God hates Westboro Baptist Church" and then they're forced, not into Hell, but into their rotting bodies, where they're conscious but unable to ambulate, thereby being trapped in a putrescent corpse while it rots. Or they CAN ambulate but it's perfectly acceptable to shoot the shit out of them because they'd be zombies.

If All the Flesh Must Be Eaten has taught us anything, that's just the way that the PHADE virus will spread. Of course, maybe I should stop reading RPG books so much. I'm getting really paranoid.
