This is alpha footage of the secret unlockable Samus Aran that was supposedly going to be in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for Wii.
As the story goes, Activision/Vicarious Visions demoed both Samus and Link to Nintendo on PS2 hardware due to time restrictions. Nintendo was very upset by this and forced them to take it off immediately.
Quote:
A demo reel of a designer who wishes to remain anonymous featuring, among other things, the only existing footage of Link in the Wii port of MUA. Apparently, Activision asked Vicarious Visions (a subsidiary of Activision, who ported the game) to add Link and Samus to the Wii version in an attempt to please Nintendo but they were ultimate axed; the overall story is very fuzzy and unclear as to why: some say that it was because of a demo video sent to Nintendo of the PS2 version or an unfinished Wii build with a PS2 HUD (which makes more sense when you consider the number of PS2-to-Wii ports; in that latter case, what a bunch of morons.), others say that Nintendo vetoed the idea for they were snuck in without their permissions but either way, no one knows the truth. Can you imagine a repeat of the Soul Calibur II situation if Nintendo allowed them? And I'm not without forgetting the fact that Nintendo let EA use Mario in sports games twice...
Note that this video has been trimmed and partly cropped at the beginning so as to remove all references to said designer for reasons explained above.
Also note that this is the only video for which I take completely, absolutely no credit for. All copyrights and/or trademarks belong to Marvel, Activision, Vicarious Visions, Nintendo, id Software, EA Games and DC Comics.

Mortal Kombat Kart racing on Annihilation sucked!
That is an insult to the word "sucked".
I've had ideas about a Blazblue Kart, and Street Fighter Kart sounds good too.

Guys, this isn't a Resident Evil arguement thread. Shut the fuck up about it already.
I wonder how long I would last if I went into topics and told YOU to shut the fuck up all the time.
I'm not really sure what you mean by that, but I do believe it is every forumer's duty to attempt to snap the thread back on topic when others derail it, even if I'm the derailer.

Yea, Jew, I looked those up after your first post. They are total idiots for demoing that on PS2 hardware. That might have been a great selling point for the Wii version.

well this isn't the first time you've come out of nowhere and told me to "shut the fuck up."
the guy said something stupid and I confronted him. that's all. now the thread is about more interesting things, like resident evil lose ends, and samus being in marvel ultimate alliance. I don't see how that's a bad thing.
how many "here are some games that I didn't like" threads really need to be brought into this world and kept on topic?

Yea, the Resident Evil discussions were never off topic. Besides it's all "video games" and we are in the "video games" section.
Discussions of cake or pie would have been off-topic.
I would actually own Marvel Ultimate Alliance if it had Samus and Link...
Also, Kart Racing wasn't bad. Neither was Puzzle Kombat. They weren't spectacular, but they were fun little extras.
Kombat Chess was fucking WEIRD.
Agreed, agreed, agreed. And no, I am not the red-haired Riddler.
Speaking of puzzle fighting games, anyone remember Super Puzzle Fighter II? Was there ever a I? I know Dr. Jeebus does, and that he once beat someone as Dan...

Yeah it wasn't bad, it was terrible, how could you enjoy that?
Granted puzzle kombat was fun, and kombat chess was indeed fucking weird (and also quite fun), but man, kart racing may have been little and it may have been an extra, but I don't think it rated as fun...

I like Puzzle Kombat. And I played the hell out of Chess Kombat. The piece that won against the King performed their Fatality, and seeing as I didn't have internet access this was my only way to see the Fatalities. I got pretty good at it too. I often played on the hardest difficulty.

Wow. This topic got way more discussion than I'd thought it would.
A new topic on the other side of this fence might be uploaded in the near future.
(P.S. Would a moderator please lock this thread? Thanks.)
