I figured I would turn to people whose advice about video games I've thoroughly enjoyed. Thoughts and reactions to the system? Games that are good/bad?

Cheers,

Andrew

I've only played the Wii twice. I played Wii Sports with a few friends both times, and it was totally awesome. I was pretty much immediately hooked.

I will do everything in my power to get a Wii as soon as possible.

In short, it's amazing, and totally worth it.

I'm sure more people will agree with my feelings, and be able to give more insight about other games etc.

I love my Wii. Red Steel may suck ass, but Twilight Princess and WarioWare both own.

I was actually gonna start a thread about Red Steel... I started playing it today. The controls are a little frustrating, but it's a good game. But it's annoying, cuz I'll be in middle of a heated gun battle and then I accidentally tilt the control and then I'm staring at the ceiling.

Is Wii the cheapest of the next-gen consoles?

yes, take advice from a guy taht admits to only playing a glorified tech demo twice and a guy who says red steel is a good game, and go plunk down a week's pay on a shiny sega genesis emulator with a clunky web browser that lets you check the weather.

Right now? Questionable. Eventually? I think so. I love my Wii, but at the moment, it simply needs more games. Those games are coming, but we're waiting on them, presumabley so Nintendo can push their crappy Virtual Console (which is 90% bullshit, whatever anyone says). However, on Friday they release the new Sonic which actually looks very excellent, and is the start of what hopefully is a good year for Wii games.

Once it stops being home to PS2 ports and refocused Gamecube projects, I think it'll start to justify itself. It's just a bitch waiting for the damn games.

Wait, "see"? Are you making fun of the Sony Eyetoy? Go back to your Xbox 360, Nintendo Fanboy.

My friend Arion got the new WarioWare this weekend and we played it at his house. That has to be one of the most fun, fast-paced games I've ever played. The mutiplayer modes are really awesome too. When I finally get my own Wii, I'm never leaving my apartment. WarioWare is definitely the of the first games I'll be getting, probably along with Twilight Princess and maybe something else.

I was at a store the other day and I definitely see where MorphineJim is coming from. Most of the games on the shelf looked crappy. Half of them were derived from kid's movie, and those usually don't turn out to be that great. I saw a game called "GT Pro" and thought, "OOOOHHHH GRAN TURISMO!" Much to my surprise, I looked at the back and was sorely disappointed. Not only was it definitely NOT the GT I thought it was, the graphics looked like a friggin' PSX game. I'm not a huge graphics fan by any means, but in regards to the system, how can something look so bad? Within the next 6-12 months, there should be a good selection a great games to choose from. I am awaiting the arrival of Brawl, which I heard has just been pushed back again. I don't mind that so much, because I'd rather them push back a release date and make sure the game is solid than to release it hastily. Most rushed games suffer, though one of my favorite of the "rushed" quasi-genre of games is Majora's Mask.

Anyway, I think this system has a very bright future, but I won't be able to afford shades because I'm going to need to buy Wii stuff when I get money.

RIP Hacker.

I bought Warioware, was addicted to it for a while, but now I'm bored of the thing. I'll be trading that in when I go buy Sonic & The Secret Rings.

and over
and over
and over
and over
and over again without being bored.

I'm not gonna sugar coat it...yes...yes it is...you buy wii, you buy now! Who's driving car? Oh my god bears driving car. Hhow can that be? Zelda Owns, Elebits is a fun time, Wii Play rocks my ass.

It just shows what kind of games they can gome out with. A new age duck hunt, SUPER AIR HOCKEY. If you can dream it Wii can play it. Doesn't hurt to have like 4 different ways to play games either.

P.S. I own a 360 and PS3 but at the moment I love my Wii. Until Metal Gear, Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy XIII comes out. Then I might have to take an extended absence from this site...and work.

No reason you can't work and play video games at the same time.

LMAO its definitly to busy to do both. I'll get robbed or kids will put gum in my hair. I've seen first hand when you mix Video Gaming while working. Not a good mix. I don't want to get pissed at Snake not moving where I want him or get killed my Ultima Weapon and then snap a kids neck because I forgot to save it.

I'll just have to start giving myself days off. but still that was damn funny. Clerks, I need to watch that, I'm gonna check if we have it...(pause)...BINGO!!!
