*As Klimbatize's rambling speech comes to a close, Valdronius smashes him in the back with a steel chair! Fernin turns to Valdronius with a look of shock and hurt. In this momentary distraction, Syd and Knyte run out of the crowd and attack Fernin from behind. Vald and Knyte hold Fernin up while Syd delivers vicious right hands. Vald yells, "You're nothing without us!" over and over. Just when it looks like they've dealt enough pain, Syd instructs Knyte to position Fernin by the ropes and points Vald to the top rope. Vald looks down on Fernin for a moment before turning around and hitting a devastating 450 moonsault senton.
The trio exit the ring and head up the ramp, leaving the Revolution broken in the ring. Vald continues to yell, "You're nothing without us!" ad nauseum, occasionally using both hands to smooth his greaser haircut.*

No, of course not. This is basically a popularity contest. Some people base their votes on how much effort team put into their campaigns, while other base their votes on who they like better. There are also people who base their votes on whose dick tastes like candy. Apparently, that latter criteria is really god damn hard to overcome.

The winners do get a reward, whoever wins will get a title under their name saying that they're the 2010 Forum Battle winners. Basically, bragging rights. Syd's obviously not going to remove his Site Admin title if he wins, so now you know part of the reason why he has that standing offer of fighting a new team each week over ownership of the title, and why anyone else who gets that title, either through this very battle or through the Title Matches in the future, doesn't have to continue to defend their title like Syd will.
tl;dr: Syd doesn't want to win this, and if he does win this, he's going to keep doing this until someone else has won.
