Alright, as tensions seem to be winding down, I too am at fault and need to straighten some things out. I'll start with my philosophy behind a forum battle. I've done some trash talking and character slander through all these rounds. In my mind a forum battle should be all out craziness to do what you need to do to garner votes. As in a real campaign, there's insults thrown about. I try to have fun with this and let my imagination flow. I'm sure some ideas hit and some miss.

I see the people who post in the forum battle as influencers as well, not just the competing teams. That being said, Mechafuhrer made a few comments in support of Syd and he caught my attention. So the idea popped in my head and I used him to make a poster. I never meant it in a hostile way, I just thought it would be funny.

For the people I used in the second poster, it was all in fun too. I don't actually have a problem with any of them, even JonSnow has never rubbed me the wrong way. I just poked fun at them because I know they associate with Syd often, I also assumed they probably voted for Syd too so it was no lose on our part. I knew The Slime Knights would be a tough battle so I tried to up the ante with the shit talking and posters.

This is a competition and I like to go to any lengths I can to promote our team. None of it is meant to be taken to heart. If we dish it out during a battle, I like to see the opponents dish right back at us. With a name like The Metal Sharks, we have to be aggressive.

I'd like to apologize to Mechafuhrer, I did what I did in good humor. I'm sorry. Given that you joined in the middle of this forum battle, it wasn't fair to you as you haven't been indoctrinated into how we do things and gotten to know who we are. I have no hard feelings, I hope you don't either. Let's put this ugliness behind us and get back to enjoying the forum battle.
