i love platformers as well, i grew up on them, although RPG's are right there as well. I also am pretty into strategy and RTS games.

I like FPS games, fighting games, platformers, and shoot 'em ups. Adventure games and RPG's can be cool too.
I like almost any shoot 'em up I play because I have good reaction time and coordination, so I'm usually naturally quite good at those. Not to say I'm jesus or anything, Ikaruga rapes me by level 2.

It was Sports game as a kid. Lately, during the rare time that I actually do play a video game, it's usually a strategy game.
I do like all styles of games though. Although, rpgs and puzzles not so much.
