Word on the street is no.
Syd sees Facebook as a much more personal site, and wants to use it for actual networking. Twitter is a douchey site for douchebags, so Syd will most likely use it like a douchebag. Like most Twitters, it will be updated no less than ten times a day, and rarely will it contain information that is pertinent to anything. You will get constant updates on his colon health though.

Syd shouldnt use Twitter, Syd isnt about mainstream stuff unless it involves something baddass like the NES or GunsNRoses. Twitter is not badass, it sucks and will just ruin the net further. I am about to delete my facebook so I can get away from this update crap for good. Syd is wrong on this one.

Facebook isn't bad if the user isn't a degenerate misanthrope that spends all their free time doing quizzes and selecting their 5 favorite things in EVERY CATEGORY EVER. Not to mention all the coveted Top X Friend spots.
That's what disgusts me about it.

Those tag sheets that cause you to get 37 notifications if you're unlucky enough to be considered for inclusion in one by one of your friends don't?
As for me, I got a Twitter because I was able to use it to update my Facebook status with my phone. My phone at the time was too stupid for Facebook's normal method to update by SMS, but I still have my Twitter even though that's no longer an issue.

Most celebrities don't autofollow. I follow back any real people who seem to use Twitter for more than just @'s, because that's considered proper Twitter etiquette, but I've only ever twice gotten follow backs, and both times it was someone who would have followed me anyway if they knew I was on Twitter.
